1998, I’m in the 7th grade

and the respect of my colleagues and all that stuff that's not bad, it's fine, it's good...

but these days I work for myself, and I’m not a very good boss,
so I know I’d make a pretty terrible God,
so I’m going to make sure and leave the giving and taking to Him

Didn't quite turn out like I hoped, but I might revisit this song someday when I don't hate it anymore. Spent a few hours trying to make it work and gave up, resulting in the one-take version you'll find here. I like the chorus though... Someday.

Days 3-5 That's My Jeep

Honestly, I'm really proud with how this one turned out. After an hour of working on something lighthearted we decided to go for the gut and write a song about being in a rut. This is definitely the first serious rap song I've ever recorded.

We finished recording at 11:30 and I tweaked it until 3:10am because I'm a ridiculous perfectionist.

Natalie, we might just have to do this again.
