Inspiration came about for this EP while James & I were only planning on making one track together as a collab for the fun of it (the first track we worked on was “What Is A Friend?”) & after finishing up that one we realized that we work on music really well together & decided to create a 4 track EP full of gröövy, deeper sounding cuts that will make people get loose on the dance floor. We also thought it would be cool to split it up into two tracks that we worked on together (“What Is A Friend?” & “Good Livin’”) to showcase our musical style through collaboration & then throwing in two of our own tracks that we worked on individually (“Dreaming Of Better Days” & “Plant Talk”) to showcase our own musical styles within our own work. The overall vibe of this EP is nothing but a gröövy sensation and for the love of house music, the emotion that house music makes us feel & what we want to share with the world as they listen to these tracks.

The Berliner Marc Brauner has been positively shaking the house music scene over the past years with releases on excellent labels such as Shall Not Fade or Houseum Records. Kicking off his stuttering musical career playing drums at the age of 5 and practicing in a percussion band for 8 years, he discovered the house music territory back in 2009. As a producer, Marc finds his anchor point into classic, melodic and captivating deep house with a tad of fulminating breakbeat notes. He is always going off the beaten tracks: from producing jams for luxury brands like Jil Sander or L’Oreal to co-founding the live acid and tech house project Traffic Report, by way of co-creating the collective “We Change The Weather“ that organized gigs in Bremen. In 2019, the release of his well-known “Sad But Amibitious” EP on the Houseum channel has fast-tracked his career and, the year after, he was lauching his own deep house label Nostalgics together with the man Tender Games. All those projects proved his musical variety and beautifully cross-fertilized, resulting in Marc being heavily featured lately in Berlin as well as across other European cities in renowned clubs like Rex, Wilde Renate or Sisyphos.

As expected from him, he has concocted for us a pumping hour of house, deep house and acid grooves from Cinthie, no_4mat or Chriss Stussy. This is the perfect treat to get in the mood before the reopening of clubs in lots of countries next week.

Floating, weightless and without a care in the world, the passage is opening in front of you to pure light, slightly out of focus though – one must concentrate if you want to gain access.
