GLINTS is born out of a love for language, luscious sentences, and sincere music. Growing up in Belgium (Antwerp) with a British background proved to be a fertile breeding ground for the creation of an original sound that combines elements of hip-hop, electronic music, and pop. GLINTS is the brainchild of Jan Maarschalk Lemmens. The inciting event however, consisted of meeting and collaborating with producer Jergan Callebaut (VUURWERK) and guitarist/producer Mathias Bervoets. The project sets out to titillate the senses whilst reinstating the importance of poetic quality in lyrics.

2015 was a pivotal year for HamsandwicH, the Dublin-based band from Kells. Their 3rd album ‘Stories From The Surface’ was released in their native Ireland and it debuted straight in at the number 1 spot in the official Album chart. 

Fast forward to January 2016 and ‘Stories From The Surface’ has just been shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize Album of the Year Award. The Choice Music Prize Award ceremony, Ireland’s answer to the UK’s Mercury Prize, will take place in Dublin’s Vicar Street Venue on March 3rd, 2016.  http://choicemusicprize.ie/

And now, on May 26th 2016, ‘Stories From The Surface’ will finally be released in the UK for the first time.  A deluxe edition of the album, it will feature acoustic versions of HamsandwicH tracks recorded at Dublins Christchurch Cathedral in December 2015.

The follow-up to their 2010 record ‘White Fox’, which featured in Irish Times’ writer Tony Clayton-Lea’s acclaimed book ‘101 Irish Records You Must Hear Before You Die’, the album sees HamsandwicH demonstrate complete mastery of the indie-pop genre.  Melodic, hook-laden, and heart-warmingly charming, the bands signature dual vocals - Niamh Farrell's powerful yet sweet vocal and Podge McNamee's juxtaposing baritone – carry you on a journey from brooding opener ‘Hold Me Up’ through to the gloriously poignant closing track ‘All Worthwhile’, via radio anthem ‘Illuminate’ and lead UK single ‘Appollo’.

Where the Demons and the Devil Speak

'Never Let You Go' is the single and title track taken forthcoming EP by London based band Bugeye. The single is released on 24th June 2016.

First invented as kids in the late 90’s, Bugeye had an affecting influence on the London music scene with their stripped down, yet raucous sound, intended to make you shake your hips and tap your foot - a sound that permeated indie disco dance floors throughout the capital. Now the band make a triumphant return with the release of their forthcoming EP Never Let You Go, out on 8th July 2016 via Repeat Records/Badger Recording Co.

Having first formed in the late 90’s supporting the likes of The Cranberries at Wembley, Bugeye reformed last year after a series of events drew them back together. The result of these cosmic events, is an EP that not only hints at what could have been, but clears the path for the talented three-piece to fulfil their undoubted potential. Bugeye draws parallels with a number of the defining indie rock bands of the late 90’s/early noughties such as Sleater-Kinney, Le Tigre and Gossip as they pursue, with a great deal of success, the ultimate rock and roll sound. Blending cherry-liqueur lyrics, bubblegum-kneecap bass electrics, goth-heavy drum compactions and high-rise guitar sculptures, Bugeye have created a beautifully, unapologetic riot grrrl-inspired record that is both notable for it’s contemporary sound as much as it is for it’s throwback qualities. Quirky, dramatic, offbeat and intensely groovy, Never Let You Go wouldn’t be out of place blaring from the Twede’s Cafe jukebox, accompanied of course by a slice of cherry pie and a “Damn fin cup ‘o coffee!”.

Comprising Angela Martin (Vox, Guitar), Paula Snow (Bass) and Jack Houston (Drums), the trio have reintroduced themselves to the live London music scene with a number of recent gigs around the city and beyond. However, the band are now just hitting their stride with ‘Disco Dancer’ due to be released as a free download, the official release of single and title track Never Let You Go accompanied by a music video exploring the theme of domestic violence by director, Emma Nathan (director of Anna Calvi’s Suddenly) and the EP itself due for release in July.
