Time stopped in Santa Cruz.

I created this composition, like others, between 2014 and 2016.

I finished work and went with my iPad to create music.

The center of all this time was the neighborhood of Santa Cruz, in the center of Seville, my city.

Anyone who visits my city will inevitably pass by there.

Some of my favorite tapas places are there.

The terraces of some hotels have spectacular views from which you can enjoy the city while having a drink, a coffee, a wine, or whatever you prefer. I know them all.

The small squares full of tranquility, the murmur of water from some fountains, the sensation of feeling history as a pure essence! or the smell of orange blossom, which permeates everything around this time of year, make me enjoy something special that, in some way, I need. It's hard to explain, but that's how it is.

And there it seems that time stops.

When I say I loved recording this, doesn't mean I agree to this dark subject matter. It's a miserable path to be cheated on, or backstabbed in anyway...but this song brings to my mind Serial cheaters who simply cannot show remorse or responsibility for what they do to another human being who believes in and Trusts them. If any of you listening to this song are Victim to such abuse then I hope you can find a way out through friends, family or anyone else who can help you leave the situation. Enough for you to Heal.

This is a rendition of a Classic and beloved song, by a band that Many of us have loved since an era of Very Special music...that Continues in its influence we see today🙏 I have only my own translations and thoughts about the words.

And I will spare a Final thought for the Perpetrators of such behaviour (to be Fair). Here it is...

Wrote the title phrase on a birthday card and immediately thought  that's a 'song title'.  The first take of the vocal was a loose ramble but I just left it in - it seemed to fit.

This song is an old Jerry Jeff Walker song from a live album that Josh's dad played countless times while driving around in his his old pickup truck while he was growing up. Josh decided this year's musical gift to his father would be a recording of this song, which his dad has always loved. When he asked his bandmates in the Eclectic Collective to help him with it, they all generously and enthusiastically agreed to do so.
  Josh began the song by laying down the piano you hear throughout. He then added the bass before asking Ken to lay down the drums. Ken learned the song very quickly, and added perfect drums to it. Stephen then added his solid foundational guitar. Then, Josh went back in and added the mandolin before singing the whole thing. Before it was done, however, Josh tapped JJ to add the piano solo after the first chorus, which he did with grand style and flourish.
  Once it was in the can, Stephen was kind enough to mix and master it in his always professional manner. 
  Josh is very grateful to his bandmates for helping him give the gift of music to his dad once again this year. His dad has alwasy supported him with his music, from the time he was a little kid, and is very proud of his musical skills to this day. We hope you enjoy listening to this gift as much as we enjoyed putting it together
