Merlin dreams of a red dragon and a mysterious woman pointing to a young man who can lead the Britons against the encroaching Saxon horde.
This is the opening track of a forthcoming collection called Artorius Rex.

Red Dragon (Merlin's Dream)

Tintagel stands between Uther Pendragon and his desire, Igraine of Cornwall.  Sensing this is the spark to bring reality to his dream, Merlin works a magic for Uther.

Merlin mentors his young protege Arthur, warning him to be cautious and guard himself from danger.  Soon a portentous engraving is discovered surrounding a king-worthy sword wedged in an anvil atop a marble stone in a church.  The common folk confirm their new king.

Steel and Stone

Arthur rises quickly as an inspirational leader with tactical brilliance.  Soon he is named Dux Bellorum, the warlord... the chief dragon... the Pen Draig.

Perhaps it is Gawaine who has a story to tell about the tragedies and triumphs of fate in Camelot.

Relegated to being a political possession, Morgan educates herself in arcane knowledge and works to turn the tables and claim power for herself.
