MATTN is back on Smash The House, and this time it’s with a melodic dance floor filler ‘You Give Me Life’ in collaboration with Brazilian DJ/Producer SELVA.

Green Room Label boss Like Mike announced a remix contest for his energetic single ‘Best for You,’ and the two-time World’s #1 DJ hand selected the winners for a special EP release. Aside from the selected winners, the EP features remixes from notable names like major tech-house duo Tube & Berger and Smash The House veteran Angemi.

Most of the contest winners are new names with lots of talent, but there are also some artists who have previously been released on Green Room, like LENN with their 2020 single ‘Wild Tonight.’ From the hardcore EDM sounds of the Bad Lazers remix to a warm house remix from renowned artists Tube & Berger, this EP offers a wide range of sounds while combining some legendary names in the industry. 

Tube & Berger has a wide arsenal of music from deep, tech-house to indie dance. The German duo’s hit song ‘Imprint of Pleasure’ has amassed over 43 million streams on Spotify alone, and in 2020 they collaborated with the ‘King of Tomorrowland’ Like Mike on the fresh sound of ‘Pineapple Tacos.’ 

Upcoming EDM star Angemi also elevates this EP to a new level with his upbeat Brazilian bass remix of ‘Best for You.’ Angemi has toured worldwide and collaborated with top DJs like Timmy Trumpet and Like Mike himself. In 2020, Like Mike released ‘High off Love,’ featuring Angemi, on his Green Room label. The song has over 3 million streams on Spotify and counting.

Today, multi-platinum DJ, producer and live instrumentalist, Timmy Trumpet unleashes his new single, “Mad World,” in collaboration with Grammy nominated Italian DJ/producer Gabry Ponte. 
Almost two decades since Michael Andrews and Gary Jules crafted “Mad World” into a UK #1 smash-hit, Timmy & Gabry deliver a reimagining of a masterpiece, custom made for a time in history where the title has never been more fitting. 
“I was in the middle of a 30-date U.S tour with Steve Aoki when global pandemic alarm bells rang out” says Timmy. “One night we were playing to 10,000, the next day I’m on a flight home to Australia. Since then I’ve focused on making music that speaks to our experiences of now. Mad World is timeless and timely. Its’ magic deserves to be shared with another generation and it was an honor to work with Gabry on bringing a new sound to an iconic composition.”
The music video was filmed in the heart and at the height of 2020’s narrative – the streets of Philadelphia. It was shot the day after the US election amidst protests, unrest and with the power of the free world hanging in the balance. This stunning story of an emotional rollercoaster captures the journey of a young woman with hopes of a new year that could have been. 
The music video directed by Shaun David Barker & Matt Henry was the second time the film makers have worked with Timmy Trumpet this year. The trio teamed up on “Diamonds” Timmy’s first track released after lockdown, which was the first music video to be entirely shot and directed in isolation. 
“We wanted to tell a story that embodies the constant frustration, the push and pull, the ups and downs of everyday life as we’ve come to know it. The logistics of shooting a music video during a pandemic were unbelievably challenging. Add full street closures and health, safety and security concerns with political turmoil, it was just the right mix of madness and resilience” says director, Shaun David Barker.  
Timmy and Gabry’s reimagining of the production, pays respect to the earlier rendition by highlighting the piano section in all its glory. “It’s just too perfect to touch. It’s the song I wish I wrote, and it’s been a rewarding musical experience reworking the arrangement with Gabry” says Trumpet. The infamous vocal is pitched up and present from the very start, quickly joined by a bed of drums laced with dark undertones that increase the intensity towards the drop. Timmy’s signature instrument offers accents throughout, accompanying the driving beat and bassline before returning us to a sense of calm in the classical breakdown.     
Timmy has shot to global stardom in the electronic music scene over the past few years headlining festivals like EDC, Creamfields and Tomorrowland, and was just voted the #10 DJ in the world in the DJ Mag Top 100. He first began touring in the US in 2014 when his breakout hit ‘Freaks’ went Gold, and globally reigned in more than half a billion streams. It was only fitting that Timmy chose to continue the Mad World story in the epicenter of turbulent times, a place he holds dear to his heart. 
Gabry Ponte is one of the influential producers in electronic music with a career spanning three decades. His debut production as part of the group Eiffel 65 was “Blue (Da ba dee)” - the global smash that would sell over 8 million copies. Last summer Gabry teamed up with LUM!X to release “Monster” which has surpassed more than 150 Million streams and has been certified platinum in Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. 
“Mad World” is also the lead single from Timmy’s upcoming debut artist album of the same name due to hit streaming platforms December 4.

MATTN is a name that has continually pushed forth within the scene, from mainstage sets at Tomorrowland, over to a smattering of releases that have captivated and bought a finesse to the Smash The House imprint, as well as rising up the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll for 2020 at #42, she is now joined by Klaas to bring The Logical Song into 2020 with a vivacious cut. 

German artist Klaas has made his mark over almost two decades of bringing pumping house and electro, as well as past collaborations with MATTN, he is also known for remixes that have climbed the charts internationally for the likes of Armand Van Helden, Guru Josh Project and label heads Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, showing no bounds to his talents.

Taking the classic topline vocal of “When I was young / It seemed that life was so wonderful” to a slower BPM that utilises the space it is given to shine in a new light, a three-note beat repetition introduces the main melody to the audience that is interlaced with shooting synths in a reworked fashion, punctuated by a digitised “Whoop” for the modern slice of nostalgia. Pumping, skittering pads come the chorus and a fresh electro flavour bring ‘The Logical Song’ purely into the latest decade that will no doubt have audiences old and new under its spell.

The newly launched House of House label from Dimitri Vegas is back and this time with a forward-thinking cover from Dino Warriors featuring Julian Perretta of the classic rap single 'Ayo Technology'.

The follow-up to 'Show Me Love', which was Dino Warriors debut single and release on House of House, 'Ayo Technology' is also treated to a Dimitri Vegas edit to add some extra power to the track's official unveiling. This new 2021 version of the famous 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake electro-rap beat heads into house terrain with a deep, vibing instrumental overlaid by Julian's vocal part, which takes the renowned track's lyrics in a new direction. The exciting collaboration retains the core appeal of the original. Still, it provides its dose of amped-up party grooving to the final interpretation to ensure that this 2021 twist on 'Ayo Technology' is every inch as charismatic as its predecessor. 

With little still known about Dino Warriors, the only trigger of suggestion is that the mysterious artist has an appeal to reimagining 90's chart jams into something that's of sonic delight in the modern era of music. Whilst fellow collaborator and singer/songwriter Julian Perretta has a more known track record having worked with everyone from Mark Ronson to Ed Sheeran and touring worldwide with Beyoncé. 

Dimitri Vegas inclusion on the release package allows him to lean on his countless years as one of the world's most renowned electronic music artists. Something which in recent months has seen him clock up impressive numbers on singles that includes 215 million Spotify streams on the all-star release 'Instagram' that featured David Guetta, Afro Bros, Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha, to the wildly popular TikTok smash 'Do It' that became the #1 trending video in Latin America. Following crazy views thanks to the songs dance challenge, which currently sits at 239 million views on TikTok. The song was a collaboration Mexican superstar singer and influencer Kimberly Loaiza and talented producer Azteck, it now has over 70 million streams on DSP's.

Australian megastar Timmy Trumpet leaps into remix action on his latest outing on Smash The House Records. This time, it’s to give his interpretation of the mammoth 2020 release ‘Get In Trouble (So What)’ from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Vini Vici.

Timmy Trumpet’s take on this fired-up party banger ‘Get In Trouble (So What)’ retains the originals identifiable rebellious chant but spins off into a more horn infested blend of chaos. The chant at the centre of the song is met with two awesome drops that release padded drums, head-spinning hoovers, and a dose of high-octane combat that is sure to get ravers geared up for a wild night!

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Vini Vici dropped the original back in June 2020 during the pandemic. The song would be perfect for mainstage arenas the track found much attention through TikTok and other social platforms, thanks to fans using the music as part of ‘prank’ videos with friends. Smash Deep fans will recall the 2020 collaboration ‘Feels Like Summer’ from Teddy Beats and Jolee Nikoal. Well, now the frequent collaborators are back on the label with their latest deep swooner, ‘Take It Slow’!
