The Steven Charles Band, featuring Steven on flute, saxophones, wind synthesizer, percussion & vocals, blends soul, pop, funk, blues, & new age, all with a jazz flair & strong elements of personal improvisational expression. 
Originally from Chicago's south side, he has performed with an array of well-known artists, representing a broad musical spectrum. Such greats as George Benson, Marvin Gaye, Jr. Wells, Otis Rush, Stephen Stills, Mick Fleetwood, Jonn Serrie, Elvin Bishop, groups including The Neville Brothers, Indigo Girls, & members of Santana, Sly & the Family Stone, EW&F, etc... 

The band has opened concerts for Chicago, Joe Sample, Bruce Hornsby, Bob James, Taj Mahal, Marcus Miller, Jeffery Osborne, Esperanza Spalding, Wayne Shorter, Pointer Sisters, Trombone Shorty, and many others, as well as performing at the last Crater Festival, inside Diamond Head, Hawaii. 
In Atlanta, the Steven Charles Band has been featured at The Atlanta Jazz Festival, SCLC 50th Anniversary Gala w/Barack Obama, Taste of Atlanta, The Trumpet Awards, PGA National Championship Awards Luncheon & Ceremony, DeKalb County Jazz Festival, Centennial Olympic Park, & even a solo National Anthem performance at a Falcons-49ers Monday Night Football game inside the Georgia Dome. 

Employing only the best of Atlanta's resident world class musicians, every event, no matter how big or small, is a "mission to please".
