I'm surprised it took me this long to do a cover of this theme, it's always been one of my favorites from any Mega Man game. The "G" must stand for gravitas...

N. Sanity Island Konami VRC7 Chiptune

Apparently this game's soundtrack is "under-appreciated"; it is so good that I have it - and several others - on my phone to play on long journeys. My first time using both the Namco 163 and RP2C33 chip in one module, a combination that I saw as relatively strange until I remembered that the latter is capable of frequency modulation.

This track was inspired by Streets of Rage (should be obvious), Eve Burst Error, YU-NO and a neighbor that was playing piano at the time I was making this. A good part of the song was made originally for an OHB, I took the opportunity to remake it and add everything I wanted to. I know the SNES soundtrack to this game isn't everyone's favorite but I love the kind of calm, spooky tone that Eveline Novakovic's soundtrack gives to the game, and Water World is one of the best in that regard.
