I made this for the Maj7 Discord server Cover Ring event of autumn 2021 (it's basically like a secret santa, but instead of buying/receiving gifts, musicians make covers of each other's tracks & have no idea who is making who's until all is revealed in a climactic listen party stream!). This song was commissioned to me by Pheanir!
This song is a bit of a Phantasm-ish song, it's my longest song yet, so it was quite a challenge, especially planning out the structure of the song, but i think i did a pretty nice job at it, and i've learned a lot from doing a longer song than usual.
I was asked to include some more complex chords than usual (the ones that contain more than 3 notes), so i tried to consider how i could implement those in the longer structure of the song, i think it went pretty well! I also added some surprise major chords.
Working with more limitations than usual was quite interesting, i feel like i tackled this song in a different way than usual, i'm quite happy with it.
