A piece for a piano duo in E minor. Many will recognize the triplet ostinato that permeates the music. Using Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 1st movement as its inspiration, it leans more heavily into the 12/8 time as opposed to Ludwig's strict cut-time. Enjoy!

Un Prélude Sentimental

Everything fading to stillness & sleep.  The blanket of winter silences the very air itself.  Still, the end of the year is a point of celebration - the solstice, Christmas & Hanukkah, as well as New Year's.  People find things to be merry about.  The dichotomy speaks to the resilience of hope & the human spirit as the world around plunges into a freeze. Thorne (2025 version)

A whimsical piece peppered with jazz in the key of G. Written for violin, alto saxophone, piano & upright bass. Some of my fondest memories of childhood were just walking through the woods by myself.  The warmth of the Sun, the colors of the vegetation, the quiet serenity filling the air all made the solo ventures some of the best moments of youth.  Enjoy!

Wanderlust

I love music!  I got into composing after my bass playing brought me closer and closer to musical theory and composition.  Since 2009, I've written a number of pieces ranging from classical, jazz, and folk to rock and metal.  A lot of my work has been described as VGM (video game music) largely due to the lack of a vocal element.  Indeed, all the pieces are entirely instrumental.
