Premiere: Lacchesi - When At Prom (Thou Must Dance)

Lacchesi delivers his first partly collaborative and charitable LP, “P*NK”, an achievement of an evolution and the ultimate marker of a collective construction. The artist will dedicate all his profits
to Etincelle, an association that offers supportive care to women suffering from all types of cancers. Etincelle helps to improve the quality of life during and after the disease, thanks to attentive listening and tailored support through a multitude of workshops. Lacchesi, who is himself sensitive to the fight against breast cancer, wishes to support the association on the occasion of Pink October. P*NK has a dual purpose : use music to raise public awareness on these issues. Each atom of P*NK is a component of the genetic structure of the label's identity. By combining the various interactions and encounters that gravitate around the artist, Lacchesi asserts himself and opens a new door at Maison Close.
P*NK inspires, projects and propels a hybrid and unique entity via original and effective collaborations : François X, Leo Pol, Mac Declos,ABSL and Krl Mx. In order to promote this release, two events are planned : a pre-release party at Glazart in Paris on November 10th, and a release party in collaboration with Voxnox at Fiese Remise in Berlin on November 27th.

Intrepid Skin returns with its most outspoken, outlandish release yet. SPFDJ’s tastemaking imprint is proud to introduce ‘Glitzer Vs Hass’, the debut release from German artist, Valerie Ace. 

Unrelenting but utterly charismatic across four tracks, Ace blends her lived experience intertwined with today’s increasingly complex politics of club culture with a thirst for experimentation, unpicking and subverting the strains of toxic masculinity that still run deep through contemporary culture. This is first-rate dancefloor discourse with little room for chin-stroking.

‘Hyper Hyper Dancy Hardcore’ submits to the ridiculous promise of its title with a breathless finale that showcases Ace’s ability to deliver function and pure fun. Leaving a strong final impression this Rotterdam-rooted hardcore anthem provides all the thrills but thoughtfully dispenses with the macho bullshit, its central vocal constantly shifting in pitch and context. 

Driven by the energy and outrageousness that has come to define her scene, yet smartly subverting and experimenting with it, ‘Glitzer Vs Hass’ sees Valerie Ace enter the contemporary techno landscape with passion, humour and much-needed sonic resistance.

""Don't rush to grow up" marks the debut release on @mamatoldya, a new label from Paris-based producer @anethamusic and aimed at exploring the creativity of collaboration.

Sugar and @ABSL join her on the inaugural four-track EP, the latter working with Anetha on 'Et le Soleil ne vint pas' and 'Elles', which works a t.A.T.u. vocal sample through a pulsating techno beat complete with spooky synths and robust percussion.
