The chromatic movement together with the melody makes this pretty enjoyable! Alternating the melody with a different timbre could perhaps have been a nice change. Melody has a kind of 80's synth pop riff feel to it.

Love the 'modular' kind of sounds here and throughout the track. Sounds like a hint of saturation there also. Very good sounds.

Definetely the kickdrum and the snare bring it to another level.

All in all, simple sounds, but extremely well used. And to get these various dissonant sounds to sit together is not easy to pull off! - really well done ! :-)

One Synth Challenge #100: Lord of the Springs by Taron

A song for assignment 6 of the Coursera songwriting class.

Assignment 6 (highschool front heavy)

I created a track with a backing drum beat and a multi that I created on the Schmidt 8 voice poly. This is recorded live with no overdubs. The multi allocates 2 voices to the lead patch and 6 voices to the pad. The pad uses dual LFO's clocked to midi but using different midi dividers to modulate the filter cutoff of VCF1 and VCF2. The LFO type is clocked using a triangle waveform. A nice feature of the Schmidt for sure.
