Long ago, under the blazing Aotearoa sun, a shimmering presence began to weave through the world—a dance so delicate it could only be seen in the flicker of heat rising from the earth. This was Tāne Rore, the son of Tama-nui-te-rā, the sun god, and Hine Raumati, the spirit of summer. Born of light and warmth, Tāne Rore embodies the trembling air, the wiri, that tells of life’s hidden vibrations.

This DJ set channels Tāne Rore’s essence through the power of music and the haka—the traditional Māori dance of strength and unity. Much like Tāne Rore’s wiri, the haka is a visceral expression of energy, connection, and movement, reverberating through every beat of this set.

This set was performed at Oblivion Gathering, alongside my brother Shinobi, who brought his own unique energy to its conception.

In 2017, amidst the ebb and flow of beats, FENRIR discovered Psytrance. Intrigued by its power to move crowds, he delved deep into the art of blending and mixing tracks, seeking to create euphoria wherever his music reached.

In 2020, FENRIR 🐺 emerged as a project — a manifestation of his deep-rooted connection with Psytrance. Guided by the wisdom and support of his dear friend, Shinobi, he honed his craft and embraced the Psytrance culture with fervor. His journey led him to Lockdown Records Mauritius, where he shared his passion in intimate gatherings, leaving an indelible mark on the local scene.

FENRIR's sets are a testament to his love for Wolves and Norse Mythology, weaving together elements of Progressive Psytrance to Full-on Psytrance, and occasionally venturing into the realms of hi-tech 🥴. His sonic palette is painted with influences from luminaries such as Shinobi, Cosmik Brothers, Noah, Orion Project, Astrix, Electric Universe, Mandragora, Jilax, and many more.
