I began this project with the intention of just laying some simple beats under Chuck Roberts legendary spoken word about Jack and his groove. But, midway through the creation process, I decided that there were no rules when it comes to making music and thats why i decided to give the break a real slow down vibe, yet keeping the same tempo.....I hope you can enjoy this track that was a lot of fun to make.

Steven Lance has been playing music for most of his life. He played professionally for 12 years in various bands (Xanadu, Shotgun, Engine, Mars, Basement Boogie Band). And with each cd his artistry and mastery of the sonic palette becomes more and more refined.  It seems like he is doing a lot more exploring, and I like it.  Giving ideas more space, I like it...Production quality is superb.   So many colors, and rhythmic interweavings, subtle yet important underlying currents."
