In 2011 I sat in my loft bedroom overlooking Liverpool (UK)as riots took place across the whole of the UK's major cities. At that time, I wrote new lyrics to 'no church in the wild' to reflect the world as it stood. Today, I fear we head towards more difficult times both in the UK, the USA and beyond. This was a song NOT about brexit in the sense of remaining or leaving, but in the need for us all to sick together to prevent the scenes like those in 2011. Its also good to remember that democracy is about being transparent and fair for all. This is something that has been challenged, lies have been told (by both sides where brexit is concerned) and politicians must be accountable to the people.  Leave/remain whatever the outcome, its important we stand together and that democracy is honest and fair. In the US, democracy has been severely challenged and borderline dictatorship is a real fear. These actions will only cause uproar. This is something that only the people can decide on. The hope is that we all stick together, peace, not war. 'This land is your land' by Woody Guthrie features without his consent. If he was alive I'm sure he would agree!
