Trying out a new alias!

Started this song on ‎August ‎22, ‎2013 and just finished it up a few hours ago.
Got LOADS of different patterns in this song in an effort to make it as diverse as possible (Over 60 different patterns). One thing i strive for in all my songs is to make it as interesting as possible. Always trying to keep the listener entertained =]

I dont really know if this is even considered a remix haha but it kinda is cause i took Lady gagas vocal melody for the part at :55, and then i took Colby o'donis's (think that's him) little verse at the break.
Big ups to Jon Bonanno who gave me the idea in the first place... didnt think it was going to turn into a full blown song, but with each new thing i added to it, the more excited i got with how it was turning out!


Steven Ortiz - Just Trance (Original Mix)

I absolutely LOVE the sample in this track. I think it adds almost all of the character and is helped along with a hypnotic hard-driving kick and 'rumble bassline' to keep the tracking moving forward. I'm more melodic so i wouldn't pin this as a TRUE rumble techno song but certainly one that's blended with my style and one i'm happy with.

Awakened (Original Mix)

I had an absolute blast making this song. There were so many times that i would just sit back and listen to the different parts cause I was pretty proud with what was developing. The emotional break at 2:00 is probably my favorite part of the whole song. Still unsure of the samples I used but I ultimately am happy about how it turned out! 

For me this has a very vintage feel to it. Reminds me about a lot of the trance i used to listen to back in the day. Gouyella's Tenshi, and a number of the DDR tracks that inspired me to get into the Trance scene.

Love the main melody in the original track and I wanted to see what i could whip up with it! Coming out great so far! It's got a hard, hard, hard, in-your-face kick with some nice supporting synths.

Started this song 3 months ago and been intermittently working on it. I'm absolutely loving the feel of it! FAT kick, wide snare, and the sample I used blended perfectly with rest of the instruments. 

Biggest challenge in this song is definitely the melody at 1:44. I worked and reworked about 8 different melodies before settling on this one. Very frustrating and I often developed ear fatigue trying to get it right.

The finished (i think) song of "Scary Dungeon Sequence"... I added on another minute and a half'ish.. I've been listening to a lot of Jeremy Soule (the guy who did the Morrowind/Oblivion music) to get an understanding on how to create a nice atmosphere, and i think i'm on the right track..

Haunted Dreams (Dungeon Music)

The finished version of "6-21-11 Boss fight-orc village" that i completed a few minutes ago for the pasantorx MMORPG game. I know the trumpets still sound 'fake' but i've spent hours looking for plug-ins, getting plug-ins just to find out that they the plugins i got can't be played as chords. Also I EQed them more so they should sound better. 

 Nevertheless, im still very happy about how this turned out.

Yooo! This is my first song that's been completely produced at college! Not that it makes much of a difference but whatever haha. 

So I was working on another song and i was fooling around with chords and what not, and i stumbled upon this chord sequence that was ridiculously chill and laid back. So i decided to see where it could take me, and i added more stuff and decided to take it in a really deep groovy house song with a flowing bassline and head bobbin' hi hats... 

Please give it a listen, and as always, tell me if you like it, but more importantly, tell me if you don't!
For now i disabled downloads, i wanna send it to some labels and see if i hook one =]

Yo guys just finished this new remix yesterday-ish after getting in a few hours of skyrim lolll
So i originally heard this song a while ago in a youtube video "People are awesome 2011" and when i heard it i was at first like WOAH! then i listened for the drop and found that it was really anti-climatic. But it had so much potential and it would be an absolute shame to let that go to waste. So i stripped the beginning sample, and the 'guitary' part, added in some unique vocal samples (OBAMA) and made it into this song =D
 Sorry if it gets a little repetitive after 3:35, thought that it needed just one more melody. Hope it didnt take away too much from the song :)
 I'll enable downloads, i'm not going to be sending this to any labels... It'd probably be copyright infringement. 



BertycoX - The Signal (Sound Selection Remix)

I began this song last year around the time when I was listening to a lot of Deep house. I drew all sorts of inspiration from various songs and what began as an experiment in testing my creative bounds ended up evolving into a track that had a little bit of a story to tell.

Right off the back, the track is... dark with all sorts of elements augmenting this feeling from dat hypnotic repetitive bass, to the cryptic vocal stabs. At the first break is when there's a transparent look into this world -- "I have been watching you since you were born" giving the feeling of a world similar to 1984 and "Brave New World". I wanted to focus on the group trying to rebel against this government and i try to show that during the 2nd breakdown (with the classical instruments) followed by a drop that has such a distinct feeling from the first half of the song -- It's happier. More lively. More energetic. 

Anyway, ty for letting me toot my own horn. I spent probably around 60+ hours on this song. The 2nd drop alone took probably around 20+ as it went through so many different iterations and i could never find something i was pleased with.
