Justin K. Broadrick returns to Pi Electronics with his second full EP under the moniker "JK Flesh”.
This latest release also features a remix by the German industrial techno legend, Ancient Methods.

Diverging from his previous offering, "PI04," PI11 unveils JK Flesh's real slow burners— a crossover between industrial and dub-techno. 
Broadrick’s mastery in industrial music meets his dub influences, resulting in meticulously crafted organic textures and relentless, tormenting dub-leaning techno beats. This EP is for those who appreciate music that unfolds gradually and rewards patient listeners.

Ancient Methods' take on PI11.2  is a demonstration of his distinctive and trademark sound, perfectly transforming the depth of the original track into an industrial techno banger.

The 11th instalment of the Pi Electronics EP series brings together two titans of industrial aesthetics: a UK musician boasting four decades of cross-genre music-making and one of the scene's most respected DJs and producers. The record comprises three original tracks, along with the remix, pressed onto 180-gram black vinyl,  including an A5 insert. Additionally, two digital extra originals complement the physical release, providing a comprehensive sonic journey through Broadrick's work.

Standards & Practices is thrilled to announce an exciting new release from veteran producer and label owner Jonathan Krohn, otherwise known as Stave, and Bristol-based producer Tavis Hitchcock, who writes and releases music under the name Karkossyn. Karkossyn's superb debut EP ("Troubled Youth") for the like-minded and consistently excellent UVB-76 imprint led to a conversation about a possible collaboration, which has resulted in "New Values" - a 12-track split cassette which highlights and showcases both artists approaches to blackened, scorched-earth electronics.

Stave's contribution is a solid summation of his craft and acts as a potent reminder of his range and abilities as a producer: from the cacophonous, arrhythmic "62523" to the simmering, coiled tension of "Relearn / Forget", there's ample evidence here of an artist operating at the height of his powers; the expansive, surprisingly moving "Rolyy" ends the first half on a powerfully lyrical note.

On the flip side, Karkossyn begins with the bleak atmospherics of "Hidden Heart", which soon gives way to "Break The Fall", a heavy dose of Scorn-esque breakbeat-driven bass weight. "For The Floor" ratchets up the tension to an almost unbearable degree, and the droning, cinematic ambience of "Memento" and the dense, pulverizing "Ruins" finishes the split EP in an elegantly brutal fashion.

Patholgy Report we explore the 1948 Japanese Imperial Bank Mass Cyanide Poisoning incident that occured at Shiinamachi [Toshima,Tokyo], which led to the arrest and conviction of painter & artist Hirasawa Sadamichi [平沢貞通]. Despite the lack of evidence, he was sentenced to death in 1950, awaited execution by hanging, and eventually died of natural causes in 1987. There have been numerous theories, rumors & sayings that a man posing as a Government Health worker ordered the victims to drink the poison, in order to protect themselves from a hypothetical incoming outbreak of dysentery, while others are arguing crime was committed by a soldier/member of Unit 731 [:Covert biological, chemical warfare research & development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army that engaged in lethal human experimentation and biological weapons manufacturing during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) and World War II]. Mara Angmas is a DJ and producer from Kiev, Ukraine, the main ideologist and founder of the independent label @necromechanica. A lover of ominous and dark cyclic rhythms that interact with wild noise and atmospheric melodies, transporting listeners into the bottomless abyss of their own consciousness.
