The track I wrote with the just-received Wingie Mk2 by Meng Qi. Running a 30 year old Yoga tape through it's audio in, then through the space reverb of the Korg NTS-1. Plus field recordings and effects.

Feathers Over A Mountain

The Erica Synths Bassline feeding notes to the Sismo Magyrus and clock to the Volca Modular. The Magyrus, Bassline and Stereo Field being sequenced by the SOMA Ornament-8. Volca Modular playing a sequence in Stochastic mode. Plus Reverb going in and out.

Also, one track made by sweeping the AM dial of a handheld radio, in real time while listening to the above.

Recollection of Uncertainty

A sequence from an Erica Synths Bassline, fed into a MengQi Wingie 2, though an Erica Synths Dual VCF then onto a SOMA Lyra8-FX and a little KOMA Elektronik spring reverb. Done in one take, not multitracked.

The gate out of the Bassline is patched into the filter cutoff cv of the Dual VCF and the cv out is patched into the resonance cv. Wingie 2 manually tweaked throughout.

In A Silent Fold

Expert Sleepers disting Mk 4's VCO with Waveshaping, fed CV & gate from the Bassline. Ornament-8 working the Dual VCF's cutoff and resonance and also triggering the Stereo Field. Result fed through the Lyra-8FX. Dual VCF, Lyra-8FX & Ornament-8 tweaked in realtime.

Recorded live in a single take, plus field recordings and effects in the DAW. Mastered in Ozone.

An Unsaved Apprehension

An experiment in which an attenuated LFO from a Neutron drives a Wingie 2 resonator. Decay, volume & mix on the Wingie are adjusted throughout, as is the speed of the LFO. A Behringer 2600 provides the gurgling bass, it's s/h clocked by a Klavis Quadigy. Reverb and AM radio added in Reaper. Mastered in Ozone.

These Belongings I Have Yet To Acquire

An experiment running a bass guitar through Monsoon (a clone of Mutable Instruments Clouds). A Klavis Quadigy sent envelopes every few seconds to Monsoon's inputs for position, density, size and texture. 

Effects in the DAW were limited to Fab Filter's Saturn 2, the R4 reverb plugin and PHA-979.

An admittedly rough mix of an unfinished track, mastered in Ozone. More proof-of-concept than anything else.

these disputes with past complexions

I composed this while thinking of a shelter dog whose time was up today. Hence the name of the track.

The bubbling bleeps and bloops come from a Meng Qi Wingie 2 with the new Blippoo firmware, being fed from a Behringer 2600. That then went into a Monsoon (a Clouds clone). The other synth track is straight 2600, accompanied by a recording featuring a cardboard tube and a slinky. Mastered in Ozone.

Adopt every dog that you can. Please don't delay.

disquiet0590 - a simple complication

I did this track in response to Disquiet Junto Project 0595: Filter Progression. Below are the steps I took.

Steps:

-record a tone using a single back-and-forth motion with bowed bass guitar
-in Reaper, stretch it to 1/10 speed retaining original frequency
-record onto 1/4" tape @ 7 1/2 ips 
-play back at half-speed (3 3/4 ips), creating a ~7-minute passage
-feed into Erica dual black VCF
-modulate cutoff & resonance by hand
-add both slewed and direct voltages from Ornament-8 into the filter
-record result, mix for small speakers, master
