I would like to dedicate this song to my beautiful and wonderful sister Colette and to my loving brothers, Jimmy, Lamont and Jerry.

This is a song I wrote for our Mom that passed away when we were young. For 40 years I have tried to finish this song, its simply to emotional for me. However, now is the time I have to put it on.

She looked like a princess, right out of the movies, the kind that you dream of, but never get to touch.

She could move like the warm breeze, she could sing like the birds sing, heaven surrounded her, love was her touch.

Oh she told me that she loved me, that she’d always care, she told me that she loved me, and she’d always be there.

So my life it began, in the palm of her hands, oh the lady with the Sparkling Green Eyes. 

She taught us right from wrong, she taught us to be strong, she said the world doesn’t always play fair

She guided us with love, a wisdom from above, in her arms was comfort and care

Oh how I watched the lady, she wasn’t old, how I watched the lady as life took its toll

I loved her with my heart, never would we part, Oh the lady with the Sparkling Green Eyes

Then one winters day, she just went away the angels they took her back home. 

Though her life it wasn’t long, what she gave to us lives on, her spirit lives in our hearts.

God I miss the lady when I hear her name, God I miss the lady and I can’t hide my pain

But I know that life goes on, that’s why I wrote her this song, it’s for the lady with the Sparkling Green eyes.

Now sometimes late at night, when the stars are just right, I can see my Mamma with her Sparkling Green eyes.
