A Reflective Lament

This is the final song that I'll be releasing for a while since I have exhausted my tape collection.

Jupiter Eight is a close relative to Electric Voluntary. I made both of them within a week and 3kliksphilip believes they're two of my best.

I may be making more music in the future, using newer instruments and software. Watching this space.

Jupiter Eight

This piece depicts a journey of ascent from lowlands to mountain peaks with ever expanding vistas. I wrote it for Simon O'Shaughnessy, a business leader in New Zealand who is releasing a creative Journal/Workbook and wanted some original music to describe the adventure of ridge walking as a metaphorical picture of a key process he sees in creative development. https://www.linkedin.com/in/simonoshaughnessy/

Rock Bottom

Felt like making a peaceful, nostalgic and kind of sad sounding song using a load of instruments that I liked. Will be the world map tune for Destruction Darius 2

Crossing Those Islands

The music on this account was made in the 80's on a number of keyboards and drum machines. In some cases they were recorded in real-time on a reel-to-reel tape-recorder, which each instrument superimposed on the last. Others were recorded using Yamaha QX21  or QX3 sequencers.

These tunes are my original ideas and were played by me. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I did recording them!

Minimoog, Moog Rogue, Korg MS20, Roland MC202, SH101, Juno 60, Jupiter 8, ESQ1, Bit99.

Drum machines:
Roland 606, 707, 808, 909, Yamaha RX11. 

Mixer:
Roland M240

Effects units:
Roland Phaser, DEP5, RE501, DC2, Akai Enhancer.

More recently I am using sounds from the Korg Wavestation, Roland System 8, Behringer Deepmind 12 and Model D and some other virtual synths and drum machines.

My released albums now comprise Synchobonk Collection, Deep In Thought, Deep In Thought (side B), Stagecoach To Harley, Wingwalker and Nice 1 Dad. I plan a new album for release, hopefully in Autumn 2023. It will be called "From My Imagination".  Lots of new ideas and sounds to experience. Albums on Bandcamp and streaming on sites like Spotify.
