We were in New York and San Francisco this week to discuss the future of shopping. In New York we saw the launch campaign of Google Home mini. The Google home mini is the size of a donut, so they used a donut store to launch the product. Which was a very cool and successful launch campaign.
Next to that Walmart is fighting back to Amazon, it is hard fight, but they are trying by using their own power: their stores and associates!

There as a big breakthrough this week by Google Deepmind. Google Deepmind launched Alpha Go Zero. This machine has now beaten the Alpha Go Master. The machine got beaten by the machine. Isn't that cool. The big difference is that Alpha Go Zero (from Google Deepmind) has learned to play Go without the help of humans. The machine just learned it by playing against itself. And this is a big breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Other important item: the Alexa Everywhere strategy of Amazon. They want Alexa to be part of every aspect of our live. This week they announced that Garmin, the car navigation system, will use Alexa in cars. And this is just the beginning of the Alexa everywhere strategy
