Bio:

MICHAEL DIETZE (Deep Tone Rebel) - DJ since 1991 Musik mit ♥ Winner MDR Sputnik Turntable Days DJ Contest 2003

 After a break of almost 7 years, Micha returned to the decks in 2017. In the 90s, the veteran of the Leipzig techno scene made a name for himself as "Ditte" not only in Germany. 

He was co-organizer of the legendary EASTSIDE parties (1993-2001) and ran the MolenDyk club from 2003 to 2006. In 2003, he deservedly won the MDR Sputnik Turntable Days DJ Contest ahead of 49 other DJs. He is a master like no other at always incorporating that certain something into his sets. 

The brilliant mixing and track selection show that there are 30 years of experience behind the decks. He makes music with his heart for the hearts and souls that he captures with his "age-appropriate techno". He has played alongside Monika Kruse, Rob Acid, Johannes Heil, Frank Lorber, Roland Casper, Paul Kalkbrenner, Neil Landstrumm, Mate Galic, Tony Rohr, Jacek Sinkiewicz and many more.

This is the live recording from my set  at Coogee Live Festival, where I played out of a cute little Kombi van, for Good Karma Music.  The brief was chilled Cafe Del Mar Vibes, so I incorporated some Organic House, Deep Prog, Lounge and Electronic into the mix. Was such a lovely day down by the ocean. As I wasn't planning on recording, I only remembered to hit the button after the first track  :D lol, so unfortunately the beginning is missing. But it's still a sweet little mix. Here's Episode 20 of machine mixtapes series, this time it's a bouncy trance and techno mix.  I originally recorded this for the KoR mix competition, but figured it could go out in my mix series to!

My goal with this mix was to create a fun vibe to warm up the crowd, and give the following DJs plenty of space to increase the BPM and energy as the night progresses.
