DGTL Records marks its fifth anniversary in style with ‘5YRS of DGTL Records’. The 14-track long player is released on April 16th as a 4x 12” vinyl set and drops digitally across 4 separate EP releases between February 18 and April 1, of which the first one features Mano Le Tough, Jimi Jules, Coloray and Tjade.
 
5YRS of DGTL Records is a perfect reflection of not just of the label itself but also its global event patron: headliners sitting equally alongside local talent and up-and-coming acts. Over the past five years, DGTL Records has grown into its own as a fully-fledged musical arm of the overall DGTL musical experience.

Mano Le Tough opens the release with the serene and heartfelt ‘Either 
Way’. He layers lighthearted guitar tabs, mesmerizing vocals and springy synths on each other to create a sublime affair that makes you reminisce and smile about the good things in life. Jimi Jules follows with ‘Anna Bolika’, a hypnotic and progressive track. It draws you in with constant chord progressions and mesmerizing sound 
design. Vocals are echoed cautiously to add to its ominous and eerie 
atmosphere. 

‘Polarity’ is Coloray's addition to the release. It features warm and granular synths, leaning towards the 8 bit retro synthwave sound, while rolling out a breakbeat drum pattern and heavy hitting kicks, with which he keeps the piece energetic and with a driving force throughout. Closing this first of four EP’s, Tjade presents ‘De Halve Maan’, a powerful tune for big rooms and big energy. Analogue synths, progressive bass lines and layers of melodic keys create a sense of revival and resurgence, with a hint of trance.

Interstate Records is a newborn independent record label based between London and Berlin. It ́s run by the up-and-coming duo Dial Tone and aims to provide a vibrant and diverse platform for emerging and established artists within the Techno scene, whilst occasionally touching upon Ambient and other experimental music spheres. All records will be released on vinyl and digital.

As an introduction, the label has put together a release, comprised of some of the scene’s most promising artists. Stretching from heart-melting deepness to pure club- functionality, this V/A aims to highlight the different directions ahead, as the label continues to evolve.

Hedrome is a German brother-duo who made some serious waves since launching their own imprint Blanksheet. 'Hard Education' forms their first appear-ance on an external label and clearly continues their mission.

Soma are pleased to welcome Vidab Records boss Oliver Deutschmann to the roster as he debuts with the dark & hypnotic ‘Dazed & Confuzed’ EP. Firmly established in the underground, Deutschmann has stood behind his unique brand of 4/4 beats for more than a decade; a permanent fixture at Panorama Bar for over 4 years with his dubby, pushing house vibes, old school drums, intense peaks and driving modern dramatics. Developing a strong signature sound, Oliver translates real emotion and atmosphere into his productions, with bold, crisp and powerful drums, resonant, textural synthlines and a stylish talent for keeping things locked down to hypnotising effect. 
His debut EP on Soma shows his darker edge, expertly opened with ‘Dazed’. A heavy kick drum and deep, rolling sub bass is backed up with a hypnotic synth hook right from the beginning as Deutschmann sets up the listener and dance floor for a proper shakedown. Rising steadily that familiar 909 clap comes in to show that this track means business as it powers through.
The follow up ‘Confuzed’ picks up where Dazed left off. Tough drums kick the track into overdrive straight away as Oliver doesn’t let up on the hypnotic Techno found on the EP’s opener. Pounding drums and tripped out vocal teases its way into the track as a prolonged breakdown keeps the track bubbling until, with brute force, launches relentlessly back in. This is uncompromising Techno at its best.
This is a top EP from a producer who can flawlessly move between styles and who isn’t adverse to showing his darker side.
