Alexander Kowalski is back on 'made of Concrete'! On his new EP, he refers the ambiance and smoked-out sounds of Dub techno on all four tracks, revealing his deep and quieter producer-self. 

The ‘Reference’ EP doesn’t try to reinvent something good. Instead, it evolves and expands on its theme and chosen genre. It carries Kowalski’s musical energy like water: from the introductory ‘Reference’ with its classic dub delays and ambient sounds, to the unhurried ‘Trawl JD’. The blows and strings of technoid ‘Deep Dive 990’ add drama and dancefloor tension - until it all washes ashore with sound on the beatless finale ‘Drifting Waves’. With this release, Kowalski once again shows his solid skills and the needlessness of proving anything to anyone.

"Halle" is an collective Ep from the label founders (@exilles duo, @kessa-dj and @gandalf-the-grey), who joined together in the studio to create the Solar Society project. The Ep features five ambient / electronic tracks which were created through collective jams using only live synths and drum machines.

Nicolas Vogler is a Brazilian-based techno producer, DJ and mastering engineer.
 
Strongly inspired by the dirty and energetic sound of the 90s, Brazilian-based artist Nicolas Vogler began his music career by DJing at underground events, developing over the years an extensive collection of tracks that reflect his keen research and unique musical identity.
Through his typical funky, fast, and introspective sound, Nicolas started releasing his tracks through his own personal label NCLS which quickly gained notoriety and attracted support from renowned DJs worldwide.
 
Today, Nicolas has a discography that revolves around just over 150 tracks, 30 albums, and 50 mixtapes signed on various labels and collectives of the underground techno scene, such as Mutual Rytm, Planet Rhythm, Suara, Syxt Berlin, Malör Records, Orphic Amsterdam, Frenzy, and Reclaim Your City.

Radial Records is the self-titled techno imprint from Jeroen Liebregts aka Radial. Dutch born and now based in Barcelona, he is co-founder of the legendary Audio Assault records and his music can be found on the likes of Mord, Token and Marcel Dettmann Records.

Radial is a producer with a number of aliases, and his renowned and rare Finder moniker branches out to new spectrums of techno and creativity with previous releases on Soweso and Lower Case Life.

Expect to hear deep, analogue grooves with dreamy synth chords and Detroit-influences in these rather cosmic cuts...

FIGURE is the Berlin-based label of Len Faki who manages to regain a tight grip of influence on techno with it’s outstanding contributions.

Mentioning releases, remixes, or labels on which Steve Rachmad has shown his craftsmanship is pointless and time-consuming. So is boasting about the clubs and festivals on which he has left his mark. It would just make for another list of names, places, and brands…. Let’s not do that. Feel free to visit the usual channels (Discogs, Soundcloud, Beatport) and take your pick from numerous productions and DJ sets. They all come from three decades of dedication, sweat, and polishing a one of a kind talent.

Because as Miles had his horn and Pablo took to canvas, Steve has an unequalled gift for (almost physically) connecting with every thinkable drum machine and synthesizer out there. If the man had kids, boys would listen to Roland or Robert (Moog), and a girl would surely be named Linn, after the machine made famous by Prince and others in the 80’s. Some claim it’s analogue machine telepathy, others say he was born with all the right connectors and inputs hidden somewhere underneath his trademark curly hairdo.

This ability has established Steve as one of those artists that simply last because of quality. New generations of artists from different genres recognizes his signature and therefore play his work.

As a DJ he is constantly reinventing himself. Set firmly in the best that techno and house have to offer at the moment, Rachmad draws inspiration from his love for high quality disco and electro from the past. As words can never truly describe music, we’ll end with advising you to go check him out and hear for yourself what Steve is all about.
