I arranged most of phrases (especially of rhythm sections)as my band studied, interpreted and performed long time ago / me playing all instruments here [ detailed info>> below].

- I've found some off-timing elements in the 2nd brushing phrase of the Solo in this version... but It's modified in the vocal versions !!

- Artwork: I did some re-touch, with much respect and appreciation, on the isometric drawing used in another album of them, I don't own any copyright here. Original drawing and it's right should belong to the artist.

[Home Recording] 
-Rhythm Guitar-1 [M/L-CTR]* : Fender Stratocaster w/analog effectors(phaser & flanger). 
-Rhythm Guitar-2 [M/L]* : Fender Telecaster(customized with DiMarzio pick-up) w/ pre-amp-overdrive (treble boost) and analog effectors(compressor & vintage CE-1).
-Lead Guitar for the Guitar-Fills [M/CTR-R] and the Solo [F/CTR]: Fender Stratocaster  w/ pre-amp-overdrive and analog effectors(vintage CE-1 & partially w/phaser) .

All guitars used Hard-amps (Marshall guitar amps) and open-mics (not the line-rec),thus all distortion and most of the spatial effects were made by instruments and amps (not by the posterior effect of digital simulator nor of DAW in the mixing process). 
*In this version, I employed two rhythm guitars  despite that the original music has one.

-Drums [B-M/CTR]: Tama Drums Kit + Zildijan Cymbals w/6-mics.
-Bass Guitar [F-M/CTR]: Fender Precision Bass w/ partial use of analog effectors(phaser & chorus), Fender Bassman Amp.
-Keyboards-1 for Twin Lead Synth(-s) of ARP [F-M/L&R] and Backing String Section of ARP [B/CTR] .
-Keyboards-2 for Elec-piano of Wurlitzer(Fender Rhodes) [M/R].
-Keyboards-3 for Elec-piano of Clavinet(Hohner)or Hammond or mini-Moog [M/CTR-R] incl. Additional bassy string section and glissando play of it.

These 3 keybords tracks were played mostly with KORG MS2000  and Kurzweil PC88 controllers w/ Lake Butler Mitigator and 2channel-splitter(=the later was only for Twin Lead Synth(-s)).

Here's a wild Mahavishnu tune I covered in one day!

I memorized most of the solos, too. This is very close to the record!

All of the guitar parts were played on the Marble Head using the Vox
amp with the Lewitt mic. Then for the drums and violin tracks, I
played on the Yanaha m06. I also used one of the clavinets off of the Korg SV-1, and the Rhodes from the Nord 2 HA-88. I played on the fretted bass using the bass pod, and the synth parts were done on the Little Phatty. The gongs were from the Garritan Instant Orchestra "Earth Metal Percussion."

I put a whole bunch of wild effects on some of the instruments. For
another instance of the gong track, I added a flange effect. (I first
put a mono preset in both tracks.) Then for the synth solo, and violin
tracks, I added a distortion effect off of the Cakewalk Ampsim (I
think I used "British Crunch" on the synth solo, and "Fuzz 1" for the
violin tracks.)

Anyway, I had a lot of fun doing this one.

"For What It's Worth," as a timely - and timeless - message to his fans. "  

"The whole idea of recording this song came as a result of a conversation I had with a young fan backstage, when she asked me, "Where are the protest songs today?" Right then and there, I wanted to write something about the brutality that's going on in the world today but I couldn't find any better way to say it than Buffalo Springfield did in "For What It's Worth".

The music I love was created by the sons and daughters of slaves. My life's work has always been about honoring those people who suffered and thus, created a language of peace and salvation through music. 
Everything we believed in during the '60s, everything people fought and died for, is being jeopardized today".
