Following two monster collaborations with Elephante on “Closer”, one of the year’s most played tunes, and Firebeatz & Chocolate Puma on “Lullaby,” producer and singer/songwriter BISHØP makes a definitive splash in the current scene with her debut solo single, “F.F.Y.” BISHØP’s sensual and mindbending voice create laid-back but intricate melodies that beautifully deliver a unique track that points directly at your heartstrings.

The song, written in Alternative-Dance and House style, fuses into a simple bass-heavy drop. The soft and moving vocal adds pure emotions to the upbeat, creating a mysterious atmosphere of weightlessness. “F.F.Y.” is melancholic and dynamic at the same time, which makes it so gripping and addictive.

Dropout & The Ready Set - Paycheck

From start to finish the record took me about a year and a half to complete. Music has been moving so quickly and is constantly changing so I initially took this song in so many different directions. 

The lyrics tell the story about a couple enduring life and it's challenges, but no matter what speed bumps they hit, they're always going to be there for each other. It's something I think everyone has experienced in one way or another throughout relationships so I wanted to build a song that was listenable for all fans of music while staying true to the sound I've built. 

If you've listened to my remixes, you can hear the signature "Lash" sound I've tried to create with influences of everything from pop to a bit of rhythmic dance from my home country, The Dominican Republic.

Steve Void, born in The Netherlands as Stef van Vugt, started making music at the age of 15. It didn’t take long after that before he started investing his time in dance music as a fan and as an artist.

In 2015, Steve scored his first hit with his adaptation of The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face”, which did over 9 million plays on Soundcloud in the first months alone. He didn’t stop there however, with all of his succeeding releases like his remixes of “Shades of Grey”, “Beat the Sunrise”, his original edit “Stronger” and “Burnin’ ” with Alex Adair, all reaching millions of plays each, totaling over 20 million plays on Soundcloud alone.

Late 2016, Steve’s first official release “Chemistry” hit all stores, immediately charting at both Soundcloud and Spotify, followed up in 2017 by hits like "Never Been Better", "West LA" and "We Won't Leave You". Steve also toured twice with Matoma, Cheat Codes, Steve James & Baynk, as well as playing clubs and festivals.

These days Steve Void has been shaking up the industry with his own label "Strange Fruits", releasing new songs every week, including his own latest single "Hide and Seek". In total Steve Void's & Strange Fruits have amassed over 90 million streams on Spotify already, and he's just getting started.
