I pay tribute to the formidable soundscapes of Dmitry Pushkarev, better known as IZHEVSKI, hailing from the picturesque city of Izhevsk, Russia - a fitting inspiration for his artist name. 

My introduction to his work was through the GHIZ project. Now he has forged his own path with the launch of his label RUVENZORI in 2020.

His sound is a unique blend of sharp edges and prominent basslines, interwoven with rich ambient melodies and subtle vocal elements, all at a steady tempo of 120bpm. His ability to seamlessly blend his style with other artists through collaborations and remixes is a skill that I find truly impressive.

Dmitry's sound is not for everyone, but for those who appreciate a unique and edgy sound, IZHEVSKI is a must-listen.

🎶 The Sereniteq Session #020 – Desert Visions 🎶

You wake up in an endless sea of sand, the sun burning high above, your mind clouded with uncertainty. The dunes stretch endlessly in every direction, shifting like echoes of a forgotten dream. Every step is heavy, your body aching for water, your thoughts drifting between reality and illusion. Is that an oasis on the horizon or just another cruel mirage?

The wind whispers ancient melodies, carrying the scent of something unknown. Shadows flicker in the heat — figures moving, watching. Then, like an apparition, a Desert Rose blooms before you, its petals pulsing with an otherworldly glow. A distant rhythm calls you forward, guiding you to a caravan moving through the golden expanse. Their chants and hypnotic beats pull you into a trance, the music weaving between past and future, dream and awakening.

And just as suddenly as it began, it’s over. The sand is cool beneath your fingers. Distant city lights shimmer on the horizon. Or do they? The echoes of the journey still hum in your bones, but one question lingers: Did you escape the desert, or did it become a part of you?
