Stevie Sightz is a Christian conscious artist that is bringing his brand of spiritual insight and his socially conscious lyrics into the realm of hip hop. 
The 4th of 12 children, Stevie started writing poetry, short stories & raps at the age of 8. Born and raised in Detroit, he had plenty of situations to draw from. While most of his childhood friends turned to various criminal activities to make money, Stevie himself delved into running cocaine packages with associates, selling marijuana & burglary to survive, but hip hop ultimately became the escape outlet of choice. 
        Stevie began performing around the Detroit area, performing at local talent shows with his group X-SLL (pronounced Excel)  Later he would as a solo artist under the management of Dwight Stewart perform at clubs & bigger venues, such as the Detroit riverfront Amphitheatre Chene Park; where he opened for newly FUBU signed Drunken Master & Lola Damone, & also Dogmatic, half of the lyrical group “Promatic”, which featured the late Proof from D1/2.In 2001, the rapper had a chance meeting with 4 A&Rs in Chicago, drawing the interest of  Roc-A-Fella records and Clive Davis newly formed “J” Records. Putting together a demo tape that included the local hot single “Get Up”, He begun a rise on the local music scene and before a trip to New York for a second meet with a Roc-A-Fella A&R, Stevie felt led by GOD to walk away from music and follow the way of Christianity. He moved to Des Moines, IA to continue that Christian journey, being mentored under the legendary and apostolic hall of fame alumni Bishop Jeremiah Reed. 
In 2012 with 10 years of no musical interest or activity, Stevie began working on a GOD inspired project titled “The Witness Stand”. About 70% self-produced, He independently released it in 2014 leading to him being named #1 Christian rap artist on Ranker.com from August 2014 to October 2014. The album was also named one of the top ten Christian Albums of 2014 by Jesuswired.com writer Krista Wages, within a list of notable artists such as Lecrae and J. Moss!!!  The album drew press from radio stations out of New York, Chicago, Florida, Atlanta, California, culminating right in his current city of Des Moines IA. He has been the #1 Christian artist in Iowa, and nationally ranks in the top 20 on Reverbnation.com. 
In 2018, as a “Thank you” to his supporters, Stevie Sightz will release “The Blue Project” which is a token of his appreciation and appetizer to the follow-up “The Witness Stand Part 2” releasing in 2019.  Stevie is taking the message once delivered to the Apostles along with his socially conscious views global through the internet with unapologetic conviction, intrepid lyricism, & a fusion of energetic & mellow production.
