Towards Destructive-Pleasure-Lane

For the 7th installment of our mixtape series we have invited Irish music producer and qualified sound engineer Mark Greene to feature. 

After completing his training in the Sound Training Centre in Dublin under Will Kinsella (Hybrasil), Mark began signing some early tracks to various labels in Europe. Quite soon Mark was releasing tracks on well established labels like Bush Records, Naked Lunch, Elektrax and Carl Cox’ longstanding imprint Intec Digital. 

A string of popular releases allowed Mark to play all over Europe with regular trips to Amsterdam in particular for the annual ADE each Autumn.

An avid drummer as a child, Mark has always had an affinity for heavy kickdrums in his tracks. As the years have gone by his productions have gained some bpms and Mark’s music is now finding its way into the hands of DJs at the forefront of the industrial techno scene.

Rebekah, I Hate Models, Theo Nasa, Chris Liebing, D.A.V.E. The Drummer and more are supporting his productions of late, particularly his recent tracks on his new label DORCHA Records - meaning ‘dark’ in the Irish language.

Mark launched DORCHA Records in 2020 to circumnavigate the typical months-long wait to release on other labels. The label is a place for Mark to release tracks on his own schedule and experiment with various different styles and creative approaches. 

The aim of the label is to identify new artists and build a small roster to carry the DORCHA flag.

Each month you can tune into Mark’s Progress Radio show for one hour of unreleased music from himself and some of the best producers in techno. Broadcasting on several stations around the world, the show will reach the 100 episode milestone in 2022.

Másfél éve indította útjára saját kiadóját, aminek már az elején kirajzolódott a fejében milyen hangzásvilágot fog követni. Azóta több magyar Artist is jelent meg nála. 
  Célja, hogy minél több magyar producernek adjon lehetőséget, persze csak is a label hangzásán belül. Decemberben Pedig egy válogatás albummal fogja lezárni az évet amihez több erős hazai név is csatlakozott, de a részletekbe egyenlőre nem avatott be minket.

Az elmúlt hónapokban két külföldi lemezkiadó is igent mondott a szerzeményeire.  Például most November közepe táján a portugál Trau-ma fog közzétenni egy válogatás albumot amin Fourk is helyet kapott! Hamarosan pedig a Concepto Hipnotico is egy saját önálló EP-t fog kidobni az ő nevével.

Sóti Zoltán alias 5Ø71 a zenéléssel 2019-ben kezdett el igazán foglalkozni. Kedvenceit és inspirátorait hallgatva: Yanamaste, Phil Berg, Quelza, Chlär stb...az elején csak 4 fal között próbálgatta magát, majd később lehetősége lett játszani a budapesti SuperSonicban, ami az első élő fellépése lett. Ezek után egy kisebb szünet következett, amire nem kudarcként, hanem inkább lehetőségként tekintett, hiszen ekkor kezdett belefolyni a zeneírásba is! 
2022-ben a Petőfi Rádió által szervezett Szelektrik versenyben sikerült bekerülnie TOP10-be, majd ugyanebben az évben a Telekom Szelektor pályázatán is sikerült saját zenéjével elérnie, hogy felkerüljek a VA-jukra! 2023-ban a Műhely-nél sikerült kiadni első albumát amelyen 8 saját + 1 remix jelent meg. Ezután a TKWT tehetségkutató keretein belül lehetőséget kapott játszani a Black Hall-ban( ami az egyik legjobb bulink volt ;) ) Tovább folytatva a zeneírást a Fourk Recordsnál jelentette meg az ezután következő szerzeményeit egy EP keretein belül, amelyen 5 track található! Idén még tervez  1-2 meglepetést és legalább 2 albumot publikálni. Legtöbbször Szegeden hallhatjátok játszani a Sunder Klubban csapatával a Deflate-el.
