Wir sind stolz euch unsere erste deep story präsentieren zu können.

Es ist der erste Schritt der Menschheit in den interstellaren Raum. Die Nasa bestätigt, dass die "Voyager 1" als erstes von Menschen gefertigtes Gerät am Ende des Sonnensystems angekommen ist. Im Gepäck des fernsten Boten der Erde: eine Schallplatte. Sie enthält Geschichten des Planeten Erde die bereits 1977 auf die Reise geschickt wurden. Diese Botschaften von Frieden und Freundschaft sind somit etwas ganz besonderes und drohen doch in Vergessenheit zu geraten.

Inspiriert durch dieses großartige Projekt der Menschheit und mit der Idee sie wieder ins Gedächntnis der Leute zu rufen hat the doubljuh uns eine Komposition erstellt, die uns mit auf eine Reise durch Zeit und Raum nimmt und eine Geschichte erzählt, die auch hinter den Grenzen unseres Sonnensystem noch zu hören ist.

This year the iconic house duo Milk & Sugar celebrate their 20th anniversary, and can now confirm their first release of 2017 – a reworking of their classic 1999 anthem ‘Higher & Higher’ out 17 February. 

‘Higher & Higher’ was an international-breakthrough-hit for the duo on original release. Now it’s back with some killer new mixes from Teenage Mutants (Stil Vor Talent, Off Recordings, Kittball Records, Suara Music,) Berlin-based duo Robosonic and Milk & Sugar themselves, along with a re-mastered re-edit of the 1999 remix from New York house legend David Morales. 

Milk & Sugar are Mike K and Steven Harding, celebrating 20 years of creating some of the world’s most innovative house music. A catalogue that includes global hits like their all-time classic ‘Let The Sun Shine,’ that reached No.1 in the US-Billboard Dance and Airplay charts. ‘Higher & Higher’ marks the start of the celebrations, which will culminate with a 20th Anniversary album – coming this summer. It will be a collection of brand new songs sitting alongside fresh interpretations of some of their greatest tracks. 

“We can’t believe we’ve been doing this for 20 years. It only feels like we started yesterday.” says the duo. “It’s going to be a big year for us, with some very special releases and what better way to start than ‘Higher & Higher’, which is what started everything for us.” 

‘Higher & Higher’ is available from 17 February. Stay tuned for more information on the 20th Anniversary album.

Wir freuen uns auf ein neuen Gastmix von @doubljuh

Seit 2015 gehört er zu den Deep Stories Podcast Sender und als Partnerchannel freuen wir uns sein neues Set für uns zu präsentieren. 

Bereits mit 14 Jahren hat the Doubljuh sein erstes DJ Setup bekommen und damit fleißig experimentiert, bis ihm das Mixing mit Vinyl in Fleisch und Blut übergegangen ist. Seine ersten musikalischen Versuche mit Vinyl waren vom Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission) Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) und vor allem Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski) geprägt. So ergab sich früh ein bunt gemischter House Style mit groovigen Melodien und eingängigen Vocals.
Als Newcomer der Tectrex Crew brachte er das erste Mal eine Partymenge zum schwitzen und war Resident DJ bei der Sendung „Rookie Freaks“ im Tectrex Webstream.
Eine grundlegende Änderung seiner Ansichten über elektronische Musik brachte ihn der Sommer 2013 mit den Besuchen auf den legendären Festivals Fusion- und Kazantip (inklusive Kurzauftritt). Hier lernte er den melodischen Deep House kennen und lieben, der seinen Style seitdem stark beeinflusst.
Die bekannten groovigen Housebeats wechseln sich nun mit ruhigen Parts ab, die eher durch ihre verspielten Violinen- oder Pianomelodien verzaubern und ergeben dadurch einen frischen Sound, der immer noch von starken eingängigen Vocals bestimmt wird.
2015 gründete er zusammen mit Kork das Dj Kollektiv "deep stories", welches mit seiner Podcatsreihe auf Soundcloud, aufgrund des neuartigen Konzeptes, sehr erfolgreich ist. Mit dem deep stories Showcase ist er gerade in Hamburg und Berlin unterwegs. Aber auch in seiner Heimatstadt kann man ihn regelmäßig bei der House of Wayne Veranstaltung im 200 Ponies live erleben.

A word or a name that is associated both with our lawless ancestors who sailed the high seas looking for plunder and the history of dance music with it’s pirate radio, bootleg records, (air) waves and hands on decks………
Kind of strange really ?
Maybe to most people, but not to Nils Laga a classically trained pianist from Cologne.
Nils clearly sees the connection.
He fell in love with electronic music while he was playing in an indie band.
He quickly scuttled his rock career and has been sailing under the Freiboitar flag ever since, determined to conquer the wild seas of dance music and take home the biggest prizes!
Influenced by disco & funk and big driving House music beats, the Cologne DJ Producer is already making waves with his releases on Exploited, Mother Recordings, Indiana Tones and No Brainer. 
His latest track ‘Back Jack’ an inspired re imagination of Steely Dan’s classic ‘Do It Again’ ,was immediately signed up by the hit making UK major label 3 Beat / Universal and will be setting sail at in september.
