Here's a mix to celebrate 5 years of Casa de la Musica. A night created by the legend Jon Fitz. A night of uplifting vocal house new and old. I've been lucky to be part of the team for 2 years now and on this mix is just a small selection of the tunes i love to play or hear at Casa every month at Venus Manchester.

Back in 2004 I used to go to a club on Deansgate Manchester. This club was like no other. The vibe was amazing. The crowd were all on the same wave length and the dj's were all local lads who knew how to work the crowd and played the most unbelievable music. This club was Venus! I longed for a chance to play there so I gave a couple of cd's to one of the residents. Dave Ellis. He showed them to Dave the owner and i finally got my shot to play there. The rest is history. Here is the first cd of that 2 part mix. This is on a warm up vibe. Enjoy :)

Here is mix 2 of the 2 cd's I gave in to Venus back in 2004. These are the mixes that gave me the opening to become resident for the next 14 years! This mix is more pumping and has loads of big tracks on from that time. Sound quality is not the best as it was mixed live on vinyl but it will bring back many memories for some including me. Enjoy!

John Steward Venus loves House May 2012

My good friend left Dominic left us way before his time leaving his family and friends in absolute shock.
I was asked to arrange music for his wake. I went through hundreds of tracks and the memories that came flooding back were unbelievable. From the times we went clubbing together to the times we dj'd together. Here's a mix of just a few of those tracks we used to love. There's that many overall I may have to do a few mixes.
The sound quality is not great on all the tracks as they are ripped from vinyl but this is just for the memories and the good times.
