'Following a 15-year hiatus from publishing, Neapolitan techno’s founding imprint – Conform Records – made an emphatic resurgence in 2020 to resume its intrinsic role in the progression of electronic music, ensuring that the genres’ virtuous roots and formative values remained instilled within its future. Having re-released its entire back-catalogue in digital format from its original DAT distribution in the 90s, label head Gaetano Parisio now shifts his focus to the modern audience, with contemporary records that serve to marry these two golden eras of dance music.

Showcasing his immense theoretical knowledge and authenticity, earned through decades of experience in the industry, Parisio’s latest project – his 6 part ‘Fragments 2930’ EP – honours the meditative euphoria of Conform’s early releases. Militant and driving in their effect, each cut presents its own melodious theme; running parallel to the strong percussive undercurrent of high impact techno that can be heard across the extended player. ‘Fragments 2930’ was initially conceived as a single sound block and later fragmented into these 6 single units. As represented in its title, ‘Fragments 2930’ also includes the catalogue numbers 29 and 30, with the double vinyl characteristic of a 2-release miniseries.

Available to purchase on vinyl from May 27th and across digital platforms on June 10th, Gaetano’s latest release is further proof that the label’s discography now only grows to hold more future classics.'

​Parisian DJ and producer DJ Deep has enlisted a cast of talented producers to remix four tracks from his ‘Cuts’ release series, featuring Ben Sims transforming ‘Stressin’ with a relentless techno motif.

Having launched the ‘Cuts’ release series on his Deeply Rooted imprint in 2014, DJ Deep now breathes new life into the material via a new remix pack titled ‘DJ Deep Cuts Remixes Vol.1’. Tapping Ben Sims to grace the release was a clear choice, as he’s been a driving force in the techno community for nearly two decades with releases on Drumcode, Karlovak and his own labels, Hardgroove and Theory Recordings.

‘Stressin (Ben Sims Remix)’ sees the UK producer inject energy into the otherwise stripped-back nature of the original, delivering an enveloping techno essence primed for peak moments on the dancefloor. Metallic synths compliment the mesmerizing and high-octane percussion as a rolling bass-line lays the foundation.

‘DJ Deep Cuts Remixes Vol.1’ is set for release in June and also features remixes by Mr. G, Roman Poncet and Steve Rachmad.

UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Rekids in February to release four uplifting cuts in the form of his ‘Break 97’ EP.

Mark Broom’s musical career is certainly something to behold – with over 150 releases over the past 25 years, on top of regular gigs across the world’s most renowned institutions, there’s no doubting his work ethic and his influence upon the scene. A prolific artist and true pioneer in the techno world, having worked with revered labels such as Warp, R&S, Ifach and Soma, and in more recent times Blueprint, EPM Music, Red Sonja Records and his own Beard Man Records, his ‘Break 97’ EP kick-starts 2019 for Radio Slave’s Rekids as the imprint adds yet another outstanding name to its roster following the likes of DJ Deep, Sebo K, DJ Spider and more.

‘Break 97’ sets the tone of the EP with a fusion of techno and disco, delicately blending funk-infused chords and resonating kicks amongst groove-filled vocals, before ‘Heart’ delivers inspiriting disco samples, punchy low end and elevating strings to reveal an effervescent aesthetic throughout. ‘EFB’ takes things up a notch, offering a dancefloor focused cut balancing rattling highs, vibrant synth flutters and a muffled vocal line, until ‘G Theme’ rounds out proceedings armed with robust percussion, electrifying vocals and undulating, euphoric keys.
