Joël has enjoyed mainstream electronic music from the tender age of 12, but it wasn’t until his brother took him to a festival that he discovered techno. He recalls watching Ame & Egbert playing at the time, being mesmerised by the detail and expression of the music. This first techno experience had him sold.

As with many young electronic music producers Joël is self taught, although he is very grateful to ‘Love Over Entropy’ from whom he learnt a lot within a short frame of time. Taking his inspiration from labels such as Afterlife, Steyoyoke & Awen Records, Joël has carefully crafted his own signature sound, combining complex drum patterns with dark textures and melodies.

His goal is to always tell a story through his tracks, with the aim of them being enjoyed both on & off the dancefloor.

'WEITER proudly presents "Blindness" produced by Dutch rising star Mitch de Klein, including remixes from Axel Haube and Lake Avalon.

Mitch de Klein (Filth on Acid, ELEVATE,) has been a personal favorite of label boss Olivier Weiter for a while now. Needless to say, we are more than happy to finally share this EP with you.

Both tracks combine floating, melodic elements with driving, energetic grooves. While the underlying saw synth sounds provide just that little bit of extra filth in both productions - the melancholic vibe is still kept intact. While “Trial and Error” works for those peak-time moments, “Blindness” is a bit more subtle but definitely no less striking - both tracks are powerful dance floor weapons!

The beast from Belgium aka Axel Haube (Atmosphere Records, Infinite Depth, WEITER) has tackled "Blindness" in its own way - Haube style. Straight forward, no mercy. Full of energy, hypnotic and stripped down to a serious club banger - which of course also works perfect when played out loud during a living room session.

Lake Avalon (KATERMUKKE, Stil vor Talent) also debuts on the label with his version of "Trial and Error". A warm, compelling remix with surprising elements and drum rhythms, loaded with Lake Avalon’s signature sounds. Tending to head more to the progressive spectrum of house - he completes this EP in a wonderful way. The icing on the cake!'

The first track, “Metanoia”, presents a dark and powerful soundscape; a combination that takes you towards ecstasy. Next, “Earth” is a mix of harmonies accompanied by dark elements giving the right amount of magic to heal and dance. “Earth” was also remixed by Morttagua, turning the track into an even deeper atmosphere, pulsating with breathtaking beats. “Days of Change”, raw and heavy, is a trip towards the stars where dreams come to life. “I Miss You”, brings you towards the softer side yet emotionally fulfilling, showcasing peaceful and longing qualities with the added vocals. Opening the EP on an uplifting note, Chris Luno’s ’The Ride’ infuses electro synths and a captivating vocal to create an addictive cut that will leave listeners wanting more.
