Here's the recording from my Dj set in Dublin last december. It was a great night in one of my favourite cities. Thanks to Shane for the recording and to everybody that came and party hard. It's a 3 hour set.

Hicky & Kalo make a long awaited return to the label with the ‘Coming Back Home’ EP. ​

Bucking the trend of modern artists, Hicky & Kalo made their name for carving out a niche in the underground scene as resident DJs at the one of its kind Stereo Club in Montreal, as well as landing releases on some progressive house top labels such as Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo and Replug. And of course by spreading great music trough their own imprint, Plaisir Sonores.

The EP opens with ‘Coming Back Home’, where a dark groove emerges with spiky bass. Lightening the track, pretty arps dance playfully as heavily effected vocal ad libs add depth. One for the late floors waiting for the sun to make its first appearance of the day. 
‘From Sea to Sea’ continues the trend; deep satisfying low end grooves juxtaposed by breezy arps. A muscular, and ultimately danceable floor filler. 
Finally, the pair lay down some ‘Wisdom’(!), a lighter number with tons of character. Ethereal and uplifting, the groove is richly melodic and hypnotic from the off.

Anjunadeep In Ibiza 2014 (Bonus DJ Mix)

Renowned German DJ and producer Solee is set to release his 8th artist album named "Goldglut". The album, whose title poetically translates to "golden glow," captures the ephemeral moment just after sunrise, when the sun’s first rays paint the edge of the morning clouds with a radiant hue. This imagery, evoking both warmth and subtle intensity, mirrors the rich atmosphere of Solee´s music. The 21 tracks on Goldglut represent the culmination of Solee´s artistic work over the last two years, a period of deep reflection and exploration. And there are a few little surprises on the album, such as unreleased versions like the Turmbühne mix of "Luft", which Solee produced especially for his Fusion Turmbühne opening set. But also new unreleased edits of "Tanz der Planeten", "Somnia", "Faith Healer" or a special intro version of his classic "Shanti". Each track carries his distinct style, weaving elements of deep melodic house & techno, progressive house, trance and ambient soundscapes into a cohesive and compelling journey. Simon Sizer is back again with his sultry sophomore EP released via Steyoyoke titled Rebirth. Yet another intriguing three-piece collection emerges from this up-and-coming Moroccan producer who plays effortlessly with tone and texture.

Rebirth begins steadily with an extended and subtle introduction in the form of “Aconit”. The song maintains this muted subtlety throughout, playing with abbreviated melodic motifs and a twittering array of synths. The general feeling of this track is one of exploration and mild wandering.

“Akna” uses the same powerful subtlety of “Aconit", while building a more serious and somber tone. The song smooths over gentle and very gradual builds while maintaining the sentiment of exploration and continuous forward movement through the persistent bassline.

The energy of the EP is elevated slightly with the final track “Neshama”, which injects even more curiosity and raises the stakes on the narrative of the collection as a whole. “Neshama”, in particular, is a dynamic and expressive highlight. Towards the middle, there is an ethereal, stellar suspension which adds another layer of dimension to the song and to the depth of the EP as a collective work. 

On the whole, Rebirth is a passionate and rare point of view.
