Inner Symphony welcomes back storied member, Clawz SG, with this mystifying 2- track release entitled “Aurora”. These atmospheric wonders will have you dreaming of what is, what was, and what will be.

The title track, “Aurora”, is a melancholic groover. Highlighted by the interplay of the kick and tom, said groove immediately set the pace. The tone however, is set by the delicately emotive LFO pads which play a downtrodden chord progression providing a deep and all encompassing sense of longing. The compliment track, “Cassiopeia”, is equally as delicate and mysterious as its namesake goddess. The bubble-like lead takes centerstage dancing amongst the waves of the wide and all encompassing LFO pads.

Clawz SG’s “Aurora” is a breath of fresh air. Although synthetic in nature, the masterful and delicate sound designs evoke a comprehensive emotional response, from the chord progressions, to the arrangements, to the automations. Through proper curation, music is power.

Soul Button takes the helm once again with ‘Master of my Fate’. Featuring 4 tracks, his latest coup is an exercise in the beauty of dissonance. 
‘Master of my Fate’ is a haunting track bound to polarize. Detuned to breaking point, a resonant pad sets the scene for a mesmerizing vocal that intertwines with the synths to create an eerie layer of ethereal melancholia. A tom-ridden groove and impatient cymbals provide the groundwork for the breathtaking soundscapes unfolding above.
A compact kick drum introduces the listener to ‘Secret Sense’. Percussive resonant stabs and pads emerge, build, and recede in waves of warmth, finally giving in to an epic lead. ‘Secret Sense’ is a track of ebb and flow, gradually pulling the listener in and out as the highs and lows play an enticing game of hide and seek.
‘Illumine’ returns to blissful dissonance. Detuned keys are at the center of this heart wrenching track, while a smattering of rides seems to merge with an array of glittering synthesizers. ‘Illumine’ hits the listener in the soul and is reminiscent of beauty in the darkest of places.
‘Paramour’ is the groover of the pack. A rapid beat of nuanced tambourines, congas and percussives unfolds gradually, accompanied by an emotive and slowly evolving pad. Bells, guitars and horns enter the fray to create an ethnic soundscape drawing on a wealth of musical heritage in limbo between east and west.
With ‘Master of my Fate’, Soul Button demonstrates that he’s not afraid to push his artistic boundaries and take his signature style to new and unexpected places.

Nick Devon is back with this mesmerizing four piece EP 'Limbo'. This new collection of tracks departs from a slightly more dance floor aesthetic into a curious dissection of movement through time.
 
The first taste of Nick Devon's most recent musical direction "Limbo" is a lucid and purposeful assertion of Devon's creative abilities in a sensitive yet powerful way. The slight dissonance and play with dark and light in this piece paints a picture of an intense journey through the deepest layers of the ocean. 
 
The second track "Landscapes" brings on a more colourful and mysterious exploration of outer space. The entirety of this track provides an other-worldly vantage point to human existence. From the driving rhythms to the echo of electronic synths and the somewhat eerie and ethereal addition of the human voice, throughout this song Devon creates an augmented and elevated perception of reality. 
 
"Symbiose" feels like an extension of the ethereal energy of "Landscapes" with an added infusion of enthusiasm and elation. The airy melodies which play atop the driving bassline in this track depart from a more dissonant soundscape towards the beginning from "Limbo" and "Landscapes". 
 
The final track "Overflow" is the epic and anthemic end to a soft and soul-searching collection of songs. The tinkering riffs and deep growling basslines balance each other throughout the gentle builds of this suspenseful piece. 
 
The gently absurdist contradictions in this reflective collection are reminiscent of surrealist paintings which take you on a journey through your own mind. A wide span of emotions and colour, Limbo shows a dynamic and versatile sensibility from Nick Devon as a unique electronic artist.
