Somethings are just done better when they are done together and the same can be said about Soul Button and Sasch’s latest collaborative work ‘Unfold’. The two Steyoyoke men have come together to show just how passionate they are about producing music that is rich with feeling and emotion. Featuring two original tracks from the pair and two remixes from Antonio Olivieri and Anturage, ‘Unfold’ is belonging to those who really appreciate pure house music.

Starting things off is the heartfelt ‘Little People’, a deep and reflective track that meanders its way through gentle pad work and a lush vocal sample that echoes across a steady 4X4 beat. A rousing accapella and shooting synths collide with surprising wind chime sounds to create a beautifully delicate track to set the tone.
Russian duo Anturage make room for a more driven remix of ‘Little People’, as they implement a strong kick drum that puts power behind teasing chord lines. Still holding onto that lush vocal sample, Anturages remix finds a heavy bassline against the delicate pad work from the original to make for an engaging contrast.

Title track ‘Unfold’ is an uplifting affair that evokes warm feelings of partying to 90’s house in the sun. Brought to life by shimmering synths that race across the board and quirky samples that tease and provoke, ‘Unfold’ is a dreamy escape from reality with so much to give.

Antonio Olivieri dips his toes cautiously into this remix of title track ‘Unfold’ with a melancholic start that builds with patience. The finished piece is an eccentric and ever surprising remix with a strong dubby bassline. Feathered synth work falls like raindrops to put a final touch to this standout EP.

The effervescent Sasch has steadily made a name for himself since joining the Steyoyoke crew. His passion for making music speaks loud and clear, which is highlighted in his consistency to produce tracks that derive from the groove in his heart. The young producer jumps back into the frame of things with his latest EP ‘Take a Message’. Easily classed as a carefree and bubbly arrangement, it would be the perfect accompaniment on a long drive, with the stereo at full volume. It features three originals from Sasch and a tidy remix from Talul.

Kicking things off, is the EP namesake ‘Take a Message’. This track really manages to pop, merging playful, whimsical disco elements with an uplifting 'feel good' vibe.

‘Missing You' is the second track to feature on the EP and it barges right on in, bringing with it some heavily spaced, deep plucked bass lines. It is filtered with catchy synths and extroverted vocals and it really keeps the groove marching on.

Sasch continues to throw surprises at us in the next track 'One Sided'. It delivers some serious chunk fuelled grooves and serves up, some of that in your face funk, the kind that forces you to groove right along with it.

To wrap things up, highly acclaimed german producer Talul serves up an infectious remix. Well rounded and engaging, his version of ‘Take a Message’, dishes up a slightly more techy flavoured remix, whilst still capturing the originals signature 'feel good' vibe.

After the success of his debut EP ʻBack and Forthʼ, Sasch returns with the much hyped and anticipated ʻLazy Stringsʼ. The EP features two new tracks from the artist and they are accompanied by two well crafted remixes from Soul Button and Mario Aureo. A third bonus remix by Mario Aureo will also be available on digital release. The young Italian dj and producer is hungry to show that he has so much more to give.

Title track ʻLazy Stringsʼ is a deep moving club anthem that leaves you yearning for the rush of the night. The enticing vocal sample is driven by a rumbling bassline and sent into orbit by shooting synths that rise and fall with such style and grace. Sasch doesnʼt let go until you have had enough.

The first remix of the EP comes from Steyoyokeʼs Soul Button. Taking a darker step with his remix of ʻLazy Stringsʼ and yet still maintaining that same drive and purpose from the original, Soul Button turns up the bass for maximum pleasure.

ʻHearts and Mindsʼ is a devilishly endearing track crafted with the purpose of sending you into ecstasy. Climbing to reach the highest highs, though with steady patience, ʻHearts and Mindsʼ teases you with seductive sample work and a swarming harmony.

Having the last dance of the night is Mario Aureoʼs remix of ʻHearts and Mindsʼ. Mario Aureo is uncompromising with his expertly balanced remix that just keeps giving. Rich with atmosphere, sharp synth work helps plummet the inescapable groove back into the insatiable and enduring bassline.
