Deep Euphoria

Title track "I'm Yours" is cradled with the seductive vocals of Amy Capilari. Pressing and pushing as the track drives on, MPathy weaves teasing percussion and haunting atmospheric synth work through a bouncing bassline. Rich with emotion and steeped with provocativeness, makes for a serene groove that does not fall short of hypnotising.

Fellow labelman Soul Button has his way with one of two remixes featured on the EP. A surging beat is tamed by gentle piano chords that fall gracefully upon a strong bassline.

Israel's Jos & Eli have graced Diynamic Music, Steyoyoke and Einmusika, and now land with 3 fine tracks back at Sudbeat.

Lets get to the music, and first up Jos & Eli utilise the sultry vocal talents of Ellie Ka to grace ‘Reflection’. This brooding slab of coolness locks you in to its mystifying groove, while all along darker and tougher elements are restraining themsleves, creating tension just before the vocal drops to really lift this track up once again. Its a biggie, don't say we didn't warn you.

‘2 Sides of The Coin’ is next, and we delve in to dreamier hazy vibes, as this warm pad laden gem unfurls its magic. We are gently dropped in to its breakdown, a melting pot of squelchiness and beauty, before the unexpected key change takes your breath away as it kicks back in. New names on Manual Music; Marc Grabber & Bastian. The Croatian / Slovenian duo, based in Pula and Ljubljana are industry veterans. Where Marc has been producing electronic music over the last 15 years, Bastian has a classical background as a pianist and ambient music instrumentalist, adding the harmonies and melodies to Marc's dance floor arrangements.

As a fresh start in 2018 they have signed their music to the legendary German label 3000Grad Records and the fine UK/Spain based label Nightcolours, next to of course this two tracker on Manual Music.

Deep, moody and dreamy but fresh sounding- and dance floor ready at the same time. Music for the heart, mind and soul. A well deserved entry into the Manual Music family by Marc Grabber & Bastian.

French artist, Ceas, makes his debut on Soul Button's Inner Symphony as the year of 2018 shapes up to be musically sublime on the imprint. Chrome is the title of this 15th, more than special release.

The title track “Chrome” is a flawless example of Inner Symphony's intended sound identity, with a loopy, hypnotic synth work that tops a gentle, groovy affair, combining into a set of sound elements you'd be able to flow on forever.

“Calico” is the more “housy” of the three tracks. Sticking to the melodic pattern you notice on the firs one, it brings that musical concept attached to a straight 'head-nod' arrangement with striking basslines. 

“June” on the other hand, is more about the soundscape. With extremely kind beats, it takes you into a foggy atmosphere of distant sounds and echoes you never want to leave.

The three tracks are extremely rich in emotional evolution. Touching and entertaining, they are too perfect not to fit a certain kind of occasion. An impressive showcase of musical aptitude and sensibility from the french talent.

Born as a label, built as a party, grown as a collective and cured as an artist. Depaart’s story is not common. The production duo present three awesome original tracks on Sincopat with a great welcome back: a mind-blowing remix by the forward-thinking disco talent, Lauer.
Koi starts the fire with a super organic synth that is well and truly alive. It stands out in an unpredictable way asking to be the main character of the track. On the remix, the German talent of Lauer gives his special touch by adding more layers and different melodies into a piece of electronic music that counts with two remarkable percussion build-ups. Do it like you do is a fantastic and magical journey through electronic music. Even though it’s hard to tell the style, the common factor is smoothness and the voice of Tom Trago, who participated in this track during a crazy studio session in Madrid with the guys. After the success of ‘Shadows’ and a string of recognised remixes, the anonymous dj and producer Soul Button is ready to ‘Play Again’ with another tantalising release. This second helping of masterfully produced music comes with the same endearing heart that beats so strong within the work of Soul Button and with the purest and most surprising vocals that have become synonymous with the work of this talented artist. The EP features 3 alluring tracks each with their own unique and well crafted sound to help captivate feelings of uncertainty as we brace for the winter months to come.

The EP starts off with the pure and lucid sound of ‘The Keepers’. The unique vocals are a complement to the reflective nature of this swirling track and bring character to the emotional build up of the narrative. A flourishing synth reminiscent of late 90’s house music, is the backbone of this well crafted piece and elevates you to a state of muse.

Taking a more progressive stance on the next step is ‘Play Again’, a powerful addition to any set. Filled with grit and laced with sex appeal, the track is a reminder of Soul Button’s dark and yet playful style. Strong vocals stamp attitude into this venomous foot stomper. A devilish blend of percussion is tamed by a strong piano sample but still driven by an enduring bassline.

Closing the chapter on the EP is the haunting sounds of ‘Come To Me’, a deep and progressive track that hypnotises. This downtempo trip is a gripping tale of faith and fidelity in all things real. It is brought to life by rich enigmatic vocals and carried by a pulsing African rhythm that leaves you wanting more.

‘Play Again’ EP will see a vinyl release in December and a digital release will follow including a dub version of ‘Play Again’.
