Marco Thull and Philippe Bessel-Lorck aka The Second Sense are a Producer and Dj-Duo from Cologne, Germany. They have fallen in love with deep and melodic sounds and the Moog Synthesizer. On stage they prefer playing live with hardware. Each of them has a long history in electronic music producing and as live acts. They already released on  labels like Ostwind-Records and Datapunk and had their first release on Parquet Recordings "Scales" in August 2017. A couple weeks ago The Second Sense had their second release with us "Gate", which was a cooperation with the uprising duo Supacooks. “The brief when making an 'Authentic' mix for Steyoyoke is to create an original track to start the mix, and pick your favourite Steyoyoke tracks to go with it. Usually my releases lean more towards peak time, and aren't the type of tracks you would pick to start a mix, especially if you want it to build.  So this was a great opportunity to create an opening track, something to set the tone of the mix. Steyoyoke has been very consistent over the years, with a clear direction and sound, so there was an abundance of releases to choose from for the rest of the mix, all of which gel perfectly together.”

Q: Talking about your mix, your roots: How did these tracks change your life? What do they still mean to you?

A: These are still some of our favorite tracks that have been giving us goose bumps for over 5 years. That is when Lunar Plane was born, so these tracks had a big impact on our sound.

Q: Regarding your current DJ sets, would you still mix in some of your classics?

A: Yes, we do like to play some classics from time to time. They definitely spice things up!

Q: Which exciting new LP projects are coming soon?

A: We're currently working on around 10 original tracks, so expect to see some dance-floor killers soon.
