This an exclusive edit Goldcap & I made the week before Burning Man. We wanted to have at least one new exclusive tune to play on the Playa for our b2b sets. We debuted this tune on Wednesday morning for our sunrise set at Kazbah, which was probably my favorite gig all week. All DJ sets out there are amazing, but this one was special simply because we started with a dance floor of 15 people at 6am, and ended with about 500 friends 4 hours later. The weather was perfect and from the pic you can see the vibes and smiles were flowing. Feel free to share and play this track in your sets, as one last Playa gift from Goldcap and I to you!! <3

We welcome Goncalo to Tronic! With previous releases on Deeperfect, Clarisse, and Stereo, he has established himself as a producer to be reckoned with. Goncalo is also very busy touring all over and playing at some of Europe's biggest festivals such as Dreambeach, Boom etc. He has given us two tracks 'Sa Punta' and 'There's Music' We have recruited two of our favorite producers Drunken Kong, and 2pole to remix the melodic 'Sa Punta' track. We are super happy with both remixes and the original of 'Sa Punta'. The more housy 'There's Music' is already being hammered by Carl Cox all over this summer. This is a very strong single and we are very excited to have Goncalo on board!

'Olivier Giacomotto needs no introduction, but we're going to give you one anyway. The French DJ and producer has been a mainstay of the international techno scene for years, boasting top notch releases on Suara, Noir Music, Tronic, and many other influential labels. He made his Yoshitoshi debut in October with a stunning remix for label owner Sharam's 'Amnesi' and now returns with his own EP 'Elle / Lui,' a fantastic two-tracker that displays Olivier's refined diversity and prowess as a producer.

'Elle' is a standout A-side, a hypnotic groover that walks a fine line between melodic techno and darker sounds. Sustained pads and rhythmic synth hits develop throughout the track creating a trancelike and ethereal atmosphere, while dominating drum fills burst in like cannons. 'Lui' on the other hand is tribal at its finest and would fit perfectly in Burning Man-inspired sets, with its cacophony of percussion and trippy synth riffs. The track's dancing arpeggios morph through filter-modulated permutations as the groove propels itself forward with big conga hits and layered shakers. Both tracks will make bodies sweat in the club, and the EP is a consistently impressive showing from Olivier and a fine addition to Yoshitoshi's catalogue.'

Yoshitoshi’s Four Points series is about celebrating the vibrancy of different international dance cultures, bringing producers together from four “points” across the globe to create something truly special. Now in its 3rd iteration, we’re buzzing off the contributions to Four Points III. Each artist on the package brings their signature sound to the release, but we find consistency throughout in the melodic and groovy style of the music.

Representing Paris, France is Olivier Giacomotto, whose smash EP “Elle / Lui” was one of Yoshitoshi’s recent highlights. His track “Breath” picks up where the EP left off, continuing the dark and trippy journey Olivier is becoming known for. The track is full of beautiful, fine details, shifting constantly through new sonic territories that leave dancers in a state of awe with its absolute funkiness.

Next we have a collaboration representing both US coasts, with DC-based Enamour and LA-based Rinzen pulling out all the stops on “Quark.” Each of these guys has bubbled up strong over the past year and “Quark” demonstrates exactly why. The track is a case study in precision-engineered production, with grandiose synth builds and riffs that flex like muscular tissue around the track’s backbone, a wildly dynamic and punchy groove.

Representing Vigo, Spain is Aaryon, who made his Yoshitoshi debut in January with the Nos EP. “Atica” dabbles in the sort of cool, nebulous, and experimental techno that makes Aaryon’s sound so intriguing. It’s perfect for easing into the night or bringing down a crowd that’s spent the last few hours hopped up on sonic steroids.

Last but certainly not least is Corren Cavini from Tilburg, Netherlands, who won our Splice remix contest last year for his remix of PQM’s Yoshitoshi classic “The Flying Song.” Corren’s mix grabbed our attention with its slowly developing sequences and clever use of the original vocal. Corren’s remix is a stellar example of how you rework a classic.

Four countries, four impeccable tracks – this is Four Points III.

'Spring is coming and shows itself in all it's colors on our Spring Compilation 2019. Lead by Einmusik's melodic „Geyser" it also bridges the gap to still colder club nights with Julian Wassermann's „Hommage" . Also the transition from hot club nights to warm open airs can be heard in Radiotherapie and Thomas Gandeys „Arcadium". Finally the development to the the hot time of the year is completed melodically and rhythmically with Roumex's „Avion" and Schlepp Geist & Matthias Schuell's „Indigo". 'Own your Own Piece of Recycled Sisyphos

The label Sisyphon is rewriting the rules of the format for its upcoming Hammahalle compilation, replacing the classic double vinyl with a real piece of the club instead.

In fact the latest Hammahalle release is handmade and reflects Sisyphos’ long standing commitment to recycling and up-cycling.

Each piece is unique and is constructed from original material abandoned on-site in the club’s earlier life as an East German factory, and is locked to a USB stick containing the music.

The pieces will be a very limited edition.

The compilation looks like it sounds. Raw, edgy, dirty - the kind of techno that takes you to the core of Hammahalle.

The compilation contains music from club residents Fidelity Kastrow, Jonty Skrufff and sound chief Guiamm plus exclusive new tunes from Italy’s techno producer Marco Faraone, ODD Recordings’ chief Arjun Vagale (India), Germany’s Anja Schneider, Brazilian-in-London Vinicius Honorio and Mute/ Novamute legend Daniel Miller.

All tracks will be available individually alongside a special DJ mix delivered by compilation curator Jonty Skrufff.,

'Mention Yoshitoshi to someone who grew up raving in the late 90's and early 2000's and there's a good chance they'll get a twinkle in their eye as memories of tracks like Eddie Amador's 'House Music,' PQM's 'You Are Sleeping,' Alactraz's 'Giv Me Luv', and Luzon's 'The Baguio Track' come flooding back. The label has produced some of dance music's most timeless records, including some of Deep Dish's own early work & remixes, plus iconic tracks like Chiapet's 'Westworld' and 'Tick Tock', Brother Brown's 'Under The Water', Kings of Tomorrow's numerous classics as KOT and Mysterious People, YMC's 'Last Stop,' Dino Lenny's 'I Feel Stereo,' 2 Smokin' Barrels' 'Basses Loaded,' Sasha & BT's seminal '2 Fat C**ts,' Lexicon Ave's 'Here I Am,' Loudeast's 'Lights Off!' and many many more. The list is really too long. Through it all Yoshitoshi's focus has always been to push forward entire genres of music and never allow itself to be pinned down to one style or sound. Some might say this is no way to run a label, that hopping between genres is a surefire path to failure. Well, twenty-five years later, Yoshitoshi is still going strong, having been an instrumental force in forging many of today's dance music superstars. It's a formula that's yielded astonishing results, simply because of the label's dedication to finding, nurturing, and championing forward-thinking talent above all else.

Few labels reach their silver jubilee, especially in the fast-paced, single-driven world of house and techno. In celebration of its rich twenty-five-year history in dance music, Yoshitoshi will release three unique compilations each filled with a 25 track mix of remastered classics, modern hits, and new remixes from some of the greatest names in House, Techno, and Melodic House. 

For the Techno edition of Yoshitoshi 25, we've dug deep into the archives and pulled out the finest tracks that define the darker side of Yoshitoshi's history. This includes remastered versions of classic tracks like Dish Out Bum's 'Gak Trak' Chiapet's 'Tick Tock,' 2 Smokin' Barrels' 'Basses Loaded,' and Timeline's 'Clockwork Orange,' as well as modern cuts like Victor Ruiz's 'Rollercoaster,' ANNA's 'Momentum,' Nicole Moudaber's seminal remix of Alcatraz's 'Give Me Luv', and Loco & Jam and Frankyeffe's 'Splitting Minds.' To spice things up, we've included three brand new remixes from Moonwalk, label regular Olivier Giacomotto, and Dubspeeka. Moonwalk takes on Phil Kieran's 'I Love You,' creating a deep mix that emphasizes the Italian duo's knack for catchy, earworm synth patterns and hold-your-breath build-ups that deliver in the club. Olivier takes on one of the earliest entries in the Yoshitoshi catalogue, Hani's 'Irieheaven,' flipping the originally squelchy 303 tune into one of his bold, signature hands-in-the-air techno anthems. Dubspeeka remixes Sharam's classic from 2009 'Secret Parkway,' turning the track into a moody late-night warehouse banger complete with spooky synths and gobs of low end. Following up the deep and uplifting Yoshitoshi 25: House compilation, the Techno edition takes you to the other side of the coin and once again demonstrates the label's diverse history and versatility. Following the internationally celebrated release of their debut album The Signs Within in 2017, burgeoning Japanese techno duo Drunken Kong look to kick off a brand new decade in emphatic fashion, as they announce the forthcoming release of their eagerly-anticipated sophomore long-player, Where We Start.

Due for worldwide release on February 10 via Christian Smith’s esteemed Tronic Music imprint, Where We Start marks the second full-length opus from the Tokyo-based outfit, whose impressive catalogue of unique techno productions have also been homed by the likes of Terminal M, Octopus Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Session Womb to name a few.

Featuring a total of sixteen diverse cuts, including thirteen brand new Drunken Kong originals, two recent collaborations with Mainz-based outfit Teenage Mutants and one exclusive new collab with Tronic head honcho Christian Smith, Where We Start is Drunken Kong’s most extensive body of work to date, and goes a long way in showcasing the inexhaustible creativity of one of the most prolific double acts in techno right now. D-Nox and Beckers have been a mainstay of the underground scene, for longer than either of them probably would care to remember, and seemingly getting more successful and more popular as time goes by. Both successful individually and as part of the dynamic duo, with releases gracing Tronic, Innervisions, Watergate, Selador and Sprout to name just a few.

'Bitter Rain' is a melodic and dirty workout, with harmonies meeting grittiness, and subtleness meeting pure filth. A solid track that is as fresh as a daisy, yet has nods to yesteryear. A seriously accomplished dance floor monster.

Re-Plug boss Cid Inc. steps up first on remix duties, as he continues to develop his own DJ and production career. His remix is a biggie, and in his hallmark vibe, he delivers a throbbing rework. Big bass and plenty of drive, and great utilisation of the melody, keeping us waiting for the big key changes. A monster rework

Nico Morano has been causing quite a fuss in recent years, with amazing roof top gigs and quirky locations gaining international attention. His label Atmosphere has been gaining in stature, and his releases on Sincopat, KATTERMUKKE and Récits de Mars have increased his popularity. Nico adds an air of sophistication to his rework, yet still packing a serious punch!'

It was time for the creative label-owner to have his SCI+TEC debut release.
