I just purchased the 2016 Japanese mini-LP Edition (2001) Remaster of her 1983 debut. I can't, for the life me, understand why this song wasn't included in the track listing. This song should've followed, "Burning Up" (removing, "I Know It"), and "Crimes of Passion" should've proceeded, "Physical Attraction" (one of my favorites from the LP). The running time of the album wouldn't have been affected, but the quality would've been enhanced even more.

This and stay we're blended for the virgin album! Love this!

"Liquid Love", co-written and produced by William Orbit, originates from late 1999, presumably from the same sessions that yielded "Amazing" and "Runaway Lover", which would end up being featured on her Music album a year later. Madonna confirmed in a 2005 interview with Attitude that the track was also supposed to be on the album but was axed because it gave her "the wrong tingles". When the song leaked onto the internet on June 3, 2006, it became clear that the song "Bubble Universe" from William Orbit's album Hello Waveforms was actually based on the same instrumental track. An alternate mix of "Liquid Love" leaked onto the internet on August 15, 2008.

"La Petite Jeune Fille" is a new version of "Little Girl" with similar lyrics, is an up-tempo dance song (resembling "Runaway Lover" from the same album) and leaked on the internet on December 14, 2011.

"Run". Written and produced with William Orbit but never used or released. Confirmed ASCAP title code 480358398. "Run" has since been released in instrumental form on William Orbit's official Streamcast site, with the track retitled "Forbidden Planet". It was also revealed by Peter Magennis in a 2008 interview with madonnalicious.com that Swedish girl group Sahara Hotnights recorded a cover of "Run" that remains unreleased, as was revealed to Peter during his interview with long-time Orbit collaborator, Rico Conning. On January 11, 2011, William Orbit commented on "Run" on his Twitter account. He stated that he would not release the song, after receiving multiple requests from fans to leak the song in full. Clips of Madonna's Run demo leaked onto the internet on April 19, 2011, the full demo leaking two days later.

In 1979, Madonna was trying to establish her career in the music industry. She was the drummer of a band called Breakfast Club, which was headed by the Gilroy brothers, Dan and Ed.[1] After their lead female vocalist left, Madonna was given the role of the lead female singer. However, she wanted to be the only female voice of the band, and opposed against the introduction of another female vocalist, Angie Smith.[1] This led to a dispute between Dan and her, which resulted in Madonna leaving the band.[2] She then formed a new band called Madonna and The Sky, but that also faced a major problem within a few weeks when its principal drummer Mike Shenoy, who had a full-time job and a fiancé, decided to leave the band.[2]

Undaunted by Shenoy's departure, Madonna partnered up with her Michigan boyfriend Stephen Bray.[3] Bray and Madonna had met at the University of Michigan in 1976, where he was working as a waiter in a club at Ann Arbor. Bray used to take Madonna on the tours of his band; after their romance ended, they remained good friends.[1] When Madonna telephoned Bray to come and join the band, he immediately accepted and joined as the drummer replacing Shenoy. Madonna's main focus now was to become a professional singer, and she asked Bray to help her achieve that.[4] Together they started writing songs and recorded them under Gotham Records, in New York's rehearsal studio called Music Building.[1] The songs recorded included "Ain't No Big Deal", "Laugh to Keep from Crying", "Crimes of Passion" and "Stay". Bray was the producer of these recordings, along with some demos that Madonna had recorded, including "Everybody" and "Burning Up".[5] The latter two songs were accepted for Madonna's self-titled debut album, in a reworked version, however the demos were left with Bray.[3

7/17-7/22-19. Patrick Leonard decided to share the demo as a manifesto against the unauthorized auction.
