3 QUESTIONS to SEVERAL DEFINITIONS:

Q: Listening to your mix is a showcase of your influences. So the early 2000´s formed your music?

A: Yes mostly. I discovered the electronic sounds in those years. Trance melodies have influenced me in what I like to produce today.

Q: You´re living in the french part of Switzerland. How would you describe the electronic music scene there?

A: Difficult! Unfortunately, It's hard to have support in the region. Unlike the German side where people are much more into the electronic scene. I hope that this will change in the coming years.

Q: Your release output is huge, having only strong releases on big labels. So what can we except soon?

A: Currently I work a lot on my first album, which will be released on Stil Vor Talent, a Berlin music label. The album will be very personal and will produced on various influences. Besides that, I 've done some remixes and a big collaboration with Marc DePulse! I leave myself time to find the right labels.

3 QUESTIONS to MIYAGI:

Q: Talking about your mix. How did these early tracks influence your later career?

A: I think these tracks shaped my style for electronic music. Because of them and a lot of other creepy electronic stuff I was listening before, I now do what I love.

Q: Lost Diaries is your record label. What's the concept behind and which philosophy do you follow?

A: The imprint is supposed to be a compilation of different musical stories. Nocturnal tales, leaving space for interpretations. There are lots of melancholic influenced tracks but also at the next moment the way of expression can change and you feel happiness.

Q: Travelling the whole world: where is your favorite spot to DJ?

A: There are so many nice spots to DJ, but one of my favorites is the sunrise at Burning Man. You can take the people on a musical journey while they are dancing, relaxing or watching, how the sun comes up.

Schwer fällt es mir in Worte zu fassen, was in dieser Nacht im Wintergarten passiert ist. Mit mir passiert ist, mit den Leuten und der Musik. Schon vorfreudig und mit dem Wissen, dass es wohl wie immer im Sisyphos ein guter Abend werden könnte und nach dem prächtigen Warm-Up (wenn man das so nennen kann) von Nakadia in der Scheune, fand ich mich kurz vor 21 Uhr im Wintergarten ein, spielte den ersten Track und spürte sofort, dass dieser Abend etwas Besonderes werden würde. Irgendwie hat man nach all den Jahren auflegen ja  doch schon alles in irgendeiner Form schon mal gesehen oder gefühlt - von schleppender Stimmung und komischem Setting bis hin zu vor Euphorie sprühendem Publikum, das nicht mal wagt zur Bar oder zur Toilette zu gehen um nichts zu verpassen. Dieser Abend war definitiv in Kategorie 2 zuzuordnen und doch war er so viel mehr, so viel inniger, definierter und losgelöster zugleich. Das Gefühl eins zu werden mit der Musik, den Leuten und der Stimmung, ein großes Miteinander und jeder, der dazu kommt, wird einfach angesteckt - egal welcher Abstammung, Alters, Glaubens, Geschlecht oder sexueller Orientierung.

Um die vielen Worte in ein paar wenige zu komprimieren: das war einer der schönsten Abende in meiner dreizehnjährigen DJ-Karriere. Danke dafür <3

Stil & Bense from Osnabrück (GER) are focussing on deep techno vibes and housy disco tunes. Tom & Arne are two artists that perfectly complement each other, both originate from two completely different backgrounds: While Tom Stil is an experienced and passionate DJ and known for his pumping, melodic sets, Dr. Arne Bense contributes the wide-ranging musical knowledge he gained during his music studies. The combination of these two versatile artist characters with their different styles bring out a unique sound. Consequences are collaborations with artists like Bakermat, Piemont or Fritz Kalkbrenner. Besides, their tracks can be found in playlists of well known DJs like Pete Tong, Kölsch or Oliver Koletzki.
