My entry to the first Dn-Famitracker demo compo. It got second place, thereby being added to the program's list of demo songs. This upload has some minor changes from the contest version.

Uses 2A03 (the NES soundchip) and 6 channels of the N163 expansion chip. Multiplexing (i.e. the thing that makes the N163 destroy your ears) is NOT disabled, but I used Famitracker's treble filtering to reduce the multiplexer hiss, achieving a similar effect.

Sorry it's been a while! I hit a major dry spot and haven't been able to produce anything that has really met my standards.

I started listening to Tim Follin's Time Trax stuff as well as things like the Valis III soundtrack; I then got inspired to play around with FM8 and try and get some Megadrive sounds.

I didn't intend to make a full track but here it is!

This isn't really a chiptune per se, I've probably gone beyond the Megadrive's capabilities but I reckon with a bit of tweaking you could definitely get this sounding very similar on an actual Megadrive.

VIDEOBALL combines our favorite elements of arcade shooting games, modern first-person shooters, and modern real-time strategy games with the depth of soccer, basketball, hockey, football, and rugby. In VIDEOBALL you maneuver a player using directional buttons or either of your controller's analog sticks. Press any button or pull any trigger to project a triangle. Only triangles can push balls. Triangles also stun players on impact. Hold any button to charge bigger triangles. Bigger triangles push harder. Push balls into the opposing goal to score points. Hold a button long enough to build a defensive square. Shoot defensive squares to destroy them.
