Four very different tracks, with a very common theme. Sci-fi. Stillhead puts together another selection of his expansive work, but this time encompassing a much darker theme.

The Test Pilots gives us a slow, brooding, building, intense track which evolves around a slab of bass and various bits of percussion.
Coma is a dark, noisy almost slow-techno track which has huge mass and depth. It’s tightly knit, but cumbersome, and sluggishly chugs along with a massive heft.

Terrified is a much lighter piece combining glitched piano, pulsating bassline, and a light synth. Definitely a spacier affair, the slightly eerie synth work builds an uneasy atmosphere.

Another Change closes the EP on a faster and lighter tone. Synth and bass intertwine to build a growing, dubby and spaced out track which weaves up and down through piano, synth and more before eventually finding a groove.

Scottish-born Stillhead produces deep electronic music. It sits stylistically between dub, drum & bass, ambient, dub-techno, downtempo, post dubstep, deep techno and bass music.

If none of that makes sense to you, then let’s just call it deep electronic music. It’s been described as both cinematic and atmospheric.
