Hot Creations deliver their first artist album of the year with the Parisien luminary Popof's, 'Love Somebody'.

Jamie Jones & Lee Foss' Hot Creations imprint has successfully straddled the gap between underground house & techno and more crossover vocal led disco-infused dance music since it was launched in 2010.  The fourth artist album to be released on the label, Alexandre Paounov AKA Popof's long player elevates the chic beats and smooth rolling melodies of house music to new heights, opening the world to fresh palatable tastes through tracks such as 'Your Eyes' and 'Lidl Girl'.

Maintaining a grasp on the dancefloor, tracks like 'Pack n Rollin' and 'Going Back' strike back to Popof's roots as a former member of the free-party underground collective ‘Heretik System’ in Paris. While ‘Words Gone’ has already found great favour through remix treatment from Luciano, Marc Houle and Jamie Jones and the second single ‘Going Back’ features remixes from Eats Everything, Lee Foss, Oxia & Miss Kittin and Luca Donzelli & Mar T.

Sublimely captivating and with the right balance of emotion, 'Love Somebody' is a statement of intention for an artist with a heavy artillery of experience, ready to fire in new directions. This album is the perfect combination of hooky house rhythms, understated techno production and evocative vocal melodies that you'll hear everywhere this summer.

The second installment of “No Filler Just Killer” brings together a fresh batch of artists showcasing their dancefloor-ready weapons. Neapolitans Moonwalk finally release one of the hottest bangers of this summer and a Solomun favourite, “Phenomena”. Featuring fellow French producer Rafael Cerato, the groovy cut follows the producers’ outspoken motto of releasing quality deep house that doesn’t keep track of trends. Kellerkind’s “Destiny” slowly builds up on a gloomy, synth-laden bassline, sustaining a melodic tension even after the breakdown. Faint and discrete female vocal accents add an unpredictable depth and harmony, while metallic pads make up the backdrop. The third piece comes from Boy Next Door and unveils a rapid-paced pick up tune, where percussion sets the course. An array of synths, ranging from neutral to jarring add even more flow to the unrelenting dynamic of the track. We step into a dub infused area with Channel X’s ‘Supernova’, an otherworldly journey into spacious grooves lined up by restless zippy synths. The ever so charming KlangKuenstler is responsible for the closing number, entitled “Drunk in Chicago”. With a distinctively Chicago inspired tech-house lumpy bassline and rounded up synths, it’s an instant mesmerizer. After the hook, it only takes a wholesome drum pad loop to keep you on board and enjoy the ride.

Staar Traxx returns with a psychedelic rolling acid trip courtesy of Defiev. Born in India, now residing in Singapore.
Championed throughout 2015 by label boss Tom Staar and Kryder respectively, Friday Night Acid begins as it means to climax with the catchy acid lead, which propels the energy in the track from the outset, winding up to the awe inspiring drop with the relentless acid loop and thumping kick. The next break takes it down, only momentarily before the climactic final drop, once again shooting from all angles before the outro crushes the sounds into a bass heavy acid lead. Friday Night Acid is the drop you need to brighten the night up ☺.
