Naos EP out on Stil Vor Talent

The artist name of this talented lady from Ukraine could also be written on the hull of a shimmering spaceship - S.One. Her sound lives up to the scenario in which such a cosmic vessel is usually found, as well: Endless depth, the psychedelic colours of spiral nebulae in the darkness, rifts and ripples in the texture of time and space. In Constellation the producer proves to be a truly special one by rolling out a pneumatic bassline and using its driving force to send subtle hints of trancy melodies floating free. This sci-fi vibe persists throughout Xenogenesis, where S.One mixes just the right quantities of banging groove and delicate harmony. For the remix, Add-Us joined the mission and delivered their very own take on cosmic melodic Techno, introducing cinematic pad sounds and tectonic bass frequencies to the original.

The Italian artist who already released on labels such as Diynamic, ATLANT or Renaissance puts his current brand of music production inside this work, focusing on the grooving drum arrangement. A regular contributor to our compilations throughout the past few years, Berlin’s Daniele Di Martino punches back in on Stil vor Talent with his anticipated new solo effort, “Naos”, a four-track voyage casting its net far and wide from pared-down techno hypnotics to flat out elegiac epics, via body-jacking onslaughts he holds the secret of. Ushering us into distinctly emotional yet hyper-dynamic narrative arcs built for extensive DJ use, the EP merges Di Martino’s surefire taste for deep, sunken electronics and all-engulfing swells of sound at once.

Striking first, “Naos” steers its listener in an EBM black mess of roaring synths arpeggios, menacing basswaves and processed incantations. Poisonously addictive floor-melter inbound. A bespoke prog-minded roller turned wild robotic hijack, “Zirkon” feat. Tony Casanova shifts the scope towards hi-intensity buildup engineering with clinical precision. “Elbrus” then veers off into further deep-diving melodic grounds, pulling out a nostalgia-based elixir of dubbed-out textures, shy synth eruptions and muted drumwork. Finally, “Ablish” beams us up to vaster expanses, flush with prismatic glissandos, peroxide pads and gridlocked percs beating a lush discoid pulse.

With Symbiosis: Remix EP 6, Callecat inches ever closer to completing their ambitious remix journey of the Symbiosis album. From the very start, the remix campaign was conceived as a full reimagining of every track: all 13 songs from the original LP are being given fresh life, one by one. And now, with the release of EP 6, a total of 12 out of the 13 album tracks have been remixed, bringing the project into the home stretch.

The EP opens with an atmospheric and emotive Eichenbaum remix of 'Embracing Nature', originally composed as the collaboration between Callecat and Gustin, casting new shades of texture and depth over the Balearic-inflected original. The second track, the Mashk remix of 'Journey of Species' (Callecat × Juliane Wolf), continues the journey, recasting the melodic elements in a new light while preserving the driving spirit of the original.

Released on Manual Music, Remix EP 6 is not just another installment; it's a milestone. As the series nears completion, each release feels like a chapter in a greater narrative. By the time the final (13th) remix drops, the full Symbiosis story will have been told in two parallel forms: original and reinterpreted. Stay tuned for the grand finale.
