Next up on MIDH comes ‘Hurting’, a three-track missive by Sandhaus & Anerah Yasole, with additional interpretations by prolific producer Aldebaran and Madrid’s Luke Garcia. 

One of the most unique vocalists out there at the moment, the Israeli SANDHAUS, collaborates with South Africa’s finest, Anerah Yasole and they deliver a deep / afro / melodic single in perfect 2022 fashion. The two producers have already made their name in labels like Rennaisance and Offering, and they now bring their a-game on Madorasindahouse:
‘Hurting’ cuts deep. The emotive opener is minimal but with a savage bassline that amplifies its dark and moody tone. Made for a big room and an even bigger system with a resolute dance tribe swaying to the hypnotic beat and melancholic vocal about a love that’s lost. 

On the remix side, Aldebaran and Luke Garcia are reinterpreting the track into their own Innervisions-affiliated sound. Aldebaran takes the title cut and twists it up, taking ‘Hurting’ positively interstellar with its analog acid lines that make for a future festival anthem, already played by Lehar, Musumeci, and Echonomist, while White Isle face, Luke Garcia, heads into further big room dance territory with his afro/Indie inspired rework of this massive tune.

About the CD:
This out of all my mix CD's will likely bring back the most clubbing memories for the majority of my friends. It's hands down one of the greatest mix CD's of all time, a double pack of Sasha at his absolute peak, he was untouchable, worshipped like no other and unrivalled around the 1996-2000 era in the majority of opinions. It defined a period of clubbing that had 50 Sunderland dance heads on a bus filling up half of the main room at Sasha's, Craig Richard's and Lee Burridge's 'Tyrant' night, at the Bomb in Nottingham. Which still holds strong as the best clubbing experience for most of us. It was legendary times, and this is a legendary mix CD.

Almost twelve months on from their debut appearance, Animal Picnic finally extend themselves in releasing their first full solo EP with Steyoyoke Recordings. Comprising of four tracks, ‘Sinopsia’ arrives in the wake of numerous successful releases to date on the Steyoyoke label and lends strength to the legacy of innovative talent being reflected in the Animal Picnic sound.

‘Lumina’ is the first track on ‘Sinopsia’ and it’s a straight up dance floor pleaser. Built upon a thudding bass line and percussive intense kicks, ‘Lumina’ is the type of track that possesses a casual yet fierce type of energy. Featuring vocals from Alexandra Pride, this first track sets the foundation and mood nicely for the remainder of the EP.

Following on from ‘Lumina’ is ‘Kraftika’, a musical expedition full of warped synths and filtered soundscapes. It is uplifting, bold and seamless in its ability to ignite a sense of euphoria. ‘Kraftika’ appeals to the direct plight of all the senses, with its meandering melodies and warm rich bassline.

Track three is ‘Vandala’ and it mirrors the same stimulating vigour present in ‘Kraftika’. Animal Picnic have the ability to embed a unique power into their sound and it’s become a signature imprint within their productions, evoking nostalgia and building a rare intimacy with the listener. Arduous drum layers and a captivating melody simply dissolve the world around you, leaving you suspended in a pleasant state of exhilaration.

‘Ethorica’ is the final track on ‘Sinopsia’ and it makes its presence stand out through a hefty dose of crisp percussion and commanding orchestral elements. The bassline is chunky and fluctuates between a rolling groove and an intense dominating force, one that impinges upon some rather dark hypnotic qualities and evokes deep broody interludes.

Greek melodic masters Voices of Valley are back on Us & Them records with a new ethereal journey called Midgard. The duo succesfully steps away slightly from their defining arpeggio synth-lines and brings a more upbeat and atmospheric cut to the table. A strong set of drums supports the formed soundscape to ensure it delivers within the walls of a club as well.
Darko Milosevic brings a more raw rendition of the original. An infectious acid bassline and driving drums define the remix of the Montenegrin. Besides the immense pace Darko's version delivers, there is still a lot of melodic mystery left that reminisces to the original. 
Alberth has his own unique take on the original. An emotional yet melancholic cut that takes hold of your brain and does not let go until the final second. One of the highlights of the piece is a cosmic build-up that leads the listener into a subtle but fulfilling climax.

Our 15th-anniversary gift is a nod to the evolution of Stil vor Talent: we present two 11 track compilations that will scratch every musical itch. From the downright dirty dancefloor bangers to the gentler melancholic tracks more suited to the day-after-the-nights before,

The table is laid, the scene is set to continue our ode to the evolution of dance music and celebrate fifteen years of Stil vor Talent.

Part 2 of our anniversary compilation sees the somewhat elusive, always euphoric Deorbiting kick off proceedings with ‘Spaziergang Im All’, a gleaming serenade of scales meandering through a field of glinty melodic techno.

Newcomer to the Stil vor Talent fold is Berlin techno composer Tim Engelhardt, who hits all the high notes and adds a dash of exotic tropicalia with ‘A Million Sunsets’.

Mysterious Swedish duo Elfenberg have graced the decks at many of our festivals and parties, and we just can’t stop loving the steady groove of the movement filled, driving soundscapes of ‘Danny’.

Elif offers us a taste of her self-taught, nomadic style of music as medicine with ‘Entaglement’, a slow-burning story told with beats and sound.

pølaroit kick it out of the park with ‘Bound to Each Other’, a melodic uptempo affair featuring the sublime vocals of HRRSN.

A deep bow to label founder Oliver Koletzki, who has carried forth the vision of Stil vor Talent to create an ever-growing coterie of music aficionados, offering them the support and the platform to share their styles and talents with the world.
