Mark Tarmonea ist DJ, Live-Act, Produzent, Multiinstrumentalist und Labelgründer – und vor allem jemand, der Musik als Berufung versteht. Geboren in Sibiu, Rumänien, aufgewachsen in Deutschland, fand er früh zur Musik, lernte Keyboard, Gitarre, Bass und Schlagzeug. Heute bewegt er sich zwischen House und Techno, kombiniert analoge Synths, Drum Machines und Live-Vocals zu emotionalen, druckvollen Tracks. Releases wie Stay, Darkness Falls oder seine Zusammenarbeit mit Rauschhaus zeigen seine Handschrift: melodiös, kraftvoll, tief. Remixe von Künstlern wie Ae:ther, Hernán Cattáneo oder Korolova bestätigen seinen Stellenwert in der Szene. Mit seinen Labels Bull In A China Shop, Eye And Eye und Elysion Recordings gibt er auch anderen Artists eine Plattform. Live erlebt man ihn auf Festivals wie SonneMondSterne oder in Clubs wie Ritter Butzke.

Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end and the nights are getting longer again. What could be more fitting than an EP called Night Shades? Responsible for this is Berlin artist Jiggler, one half of former Bar 25 favourite Channel X. He has been causing a stir with his solo project for many years, including releases on Stil vor Talent and Katermukke. The first track, Night Shades, which shares its name with the EP, captivates with its driving groove and wonderfully dreamy yet uplifting lead synth. With the second original, Voyager, the journey through the night continues seamlessly, albeit in a more rousing and darker way. Jiggler is supported by a total of three artists with their own interpretations of the originals: Richard Elcox, the Scottish Berliner by choice, who was already playing around with his brother's Korg MS-20 at the age of 11 and the well-known Matija and Contenance here in Zurich. The former has been part of the local scene for over three decades, the latter is well on his way to emulating Matija.

With his surprise fifth studio album ‘Magickal’ continuing to resonate across the global electronic landscape, Damian Lazarus now unveils the second half of the project’s ambitious remix series. Out 26th September via Crosstown Rebels, ‘Magickal Remixed (Part II)’ enlists the talents of Cinthie, Timo Maas, and Anthony Middleton, with each of the three celebrated artists bringing their unique perspective to the Crosstown head’s latest long-player. Arriving in both digital and vinyl formats, this three-track package builds on the energy of Part I, which featured takes from Harry Romero, Jonathan Kaspar, and Mëstiza, and THEMBA’s earlier remix of lead single Searchin’, continuing a journey that reimagines Magickal’s most defining moments through fresh, club-ready interpretations.
Opening the release, Berlin favourite Cinthie takes on ‘Y Don’t U’, injecting her signature analogue warmth and groove-driven touch into the album cut, reworking it into a silky, floor-focused workout that radiates her unmistakable house sound. Longstanding innovator Timo Maas steps up next with his remix of ‘Warrior Dance’, Lazarus’ amapiano-inspired collaboration with Ghanaian artist Jojo Abot. Stripping back and rebuilding the track into a hypnotic, low-slung affair, Maas balances subtle percussive detail with deep, pulsating basslines to create an intoxicating new dimension. Closing out the EP, Anthony Middleton, formerly one half of Audiofly, reshapes the soulful ‘So Low’ featuring Zoe Kypri into a textured and emotionally charged journey, weaving its vocal lines through expansive sound design and rolling grooves.
As Damian unveiled at the album’s initial shock drop, ‘Magickal’ was conceived as a complete body of work, capturing clarity, transformation, and a deepened sense of connection. With ‘Magickal Remixed’, that world is opened up further, with close friends and esteemed peers recasting its tracks in their own artistic languages, providing a multifaceted exploration of the original record’s spirit and purpose.

After delivering an electrifying remix of Folgar & Chumbita’s Meltdown in late 2024, Portuguese producer Vini Pistori returns to Kiosk ID with ‘Life’—a four-track EP that threads technical sophistication and suspended emotion into a sprawling brand of hypnotic, floor-focused energy. Drawing on personal memory, Life reads like an audio diary—intensely textured, lushly composed, and grounded in a powerfully human sonic philosophy.   ‘The Green Tree’ is a lush, atmospheric groover. Built around a lively bassline and rustling found-sound percussion, the opener progressively transforms quivering pulses and wondersome chord progressions into a melodic flurry of energy, ever sharper and more electric. Named after a beloved tree in his partner’s family home, The Green Tree quietly pulses with emotional gravity—lush, alive, and becoming.   ‘Underneath Waters’ dives into a shimmering ocean of resonant percussion and ethereal melody. Hamburg based producer Hatzler’s EP is crafted to keep the dancefloor moving, with two original tracks and two remixes. ‘SkyT’ unfolds with a rolling groove that ascends abruptly into a throbbing, trance-inducing piece peppered with cavernous synth pads. ‘KreaT’ lays down hard hitting thumps from the get-go, doling out an undulating synth with whirring atmospherics. It’s these whirs that end up combining harmoniously with the swirling synth hook, leading to a highly anticipated peak time release. For his ‘SkyT’ remix, Sian amps up the theatrics, giving the track a dramatic dimension by infusing it with spacious reverb. Where Sian went down a more theatrical avenue, Ruiz plays down the emotion.  Victor Ruiz’ take on ‘SkyT’ is a more stripped down approach, minimizing the elements and keeping the focus on the rolling bassline.
