Vomvo is back with a cinematic story by the Danish artist Pete Oak. He is definitely one of the men to follow this year. Pete presents an amazing selection of pure electronic sounds giving his personal touch and offering his own soundtrack.
Vomvo is a conceptual album created by Sincopat that gives a different artist every year the chance to orchestrate a personal vision of his sound. Darlyn Vlys was the first one to develop this concept and AFFKT continued last year with another stunning collection. In 2007, we have Pete Oak as the leader, so let's enjoy the journey:
"For this VOMVO I wanted to create a dark, melancholic and emotional mood. I’m a big fan of the dark aspect of house music. For me it brings out a lot of emotions and joy - it pulls me into a small universe with no worries, no hate, no pain and no Donald Trumps - only love”.
“All the music is handpicked from producers that I have worked with in one-way or another. Big and small artists - all of whom got something unique to bring to the table. I’m really thrilled and proud with the result. A big and special thanks to SINCOPAT for this opportunity – it is a great honour!".

Bridging instrumental tact with melodic mysticism, live act and DJ duo Hidden Empire present their debut album Mind Palace, the fruit of their labour of one whirlwind year. On Stil Vor Talent they find a welcome home, having already gained traction with several releases on the label as well as other renowned imprints such as Suara.

Fluid, atmospheric tracks set a consistently lush vibe overall, from the esoteric kickoff track Journey Into the Self to subtle warm-up tools like the oriental-instilled Hummus and Fafnir, or the couple’s first vocal collaboration Pure. Fellow Cologne singer Inga Nelke brings a touch of sensuality with her soft vocal chops atop a broken beat-infused melody accented with gripping piano chords.

But it’s in club tracks that the album abounds, found often in antithetical pairings, whether it’s the marriage of a Moog bassline and warm Caribbean rhythms in Detroit in Limbo or the juxtaposition of analogue and digital rhythms on In The Woods, created using sylvan recordings as percussion. It’s the title track Mind Palace, however, that reaches the apex of antipolar combinations, displaying a breakbeat-heavy lead doused in exotic vocals perched onto a steady bassline, underlining the artists’ knack for innovative rhythms.

A nod to the classic heydays of acid comes in the shape of Acid Flashback, centred around a massive synth hook courtesy of the iconic Roland 303, a tinge slightly present on the spiralling fierce cut Asmoday, albeit a fraction more subtle.

Energy is one of the key traits of the album, as Branko and Niklas conceive a copious amount of hard-hitting tracks that amplify and engage towards the second half of the record. Black Beauty oozes stamina from the get-go, its relentless groove guiding a subdued bassline and minimal elements towards the peak point. With Natural Takeover, a tech powerhouse with a tenacious lead and ominous vocals, the album reaches its darkest corner of the Mind Palace universe.

All in all, the artists showcase a plethora of straightforward tracks with heterogeneous sound aesthetics, where a closer listen can only reveal further and more elaborate depths.

We are very happy to celebrate the first anniversary of the Prisma Techno label. It was a fantastic year, and during that time we received the support of great DJs and producers who not only believed in our sound but also played our music in clubs and festivals around the world.

After a year of solid releases, we are pleased to present the 'Orbit' EP, from the maltese artist Toxism, which, in its first release for Prisma Techno, delivers two pearls with great energy and personality. In addition to the two original tracks, 'Stellar' and 'Orbit', we also have remixes of Phouz, Against the Time, Distant and Hioll, each adding their own signature to the original title track.

Boss Axis is no newcomer to the game, and returns to the Melodic Deep platform showing why they are on top of the game! Coming soon on Enchant Audio (Berlin), this marvelous progressive house track carries you effortlessly through. The track features both 80s-style synths as well as more modern futuristic sounds, with everything falling into just the right sonic space. The track eventually progresses to a huge breakdown with some old-school chorusy bass plucks that make way for an arpeggiator before everything slams back into a groove to finish things out.

Taking off where Nicole left us with her EP early this year, this is the first of two remix packages of the MOOD boss's 'Seeing It Through' release and, trust us; not one single stone has been left unturned by the remixers. Nicolas Bougaïeff takes the lead with his outlandish take on 'Common Dreams'. One of those rare re-rubs that takes the original to various new places; expect some impeccable switches and tempo turbulence along the way!

'The Sun At Midnight' receives its first of two reworks from the always on point Magdalena. Percolating with emotion, her melodic refresh delivers both power and poise in equal measure. And it's followed by a beautiful salute from one of the label's most consistent and much-loved regulars Marino Canal. Gently twisting the drums in a more tribal direction while preserving those soul-stirring pianos, it's another on-point twist to end this stunning volume.
