For our ninth journey on ´Future Romance´ the aspiring and promising german duo Add-us are delivering 3 top notch productions called "Change of direction", "Faces of the moon" and "Play of shades" packed with strong synth lines and emotional moments for the deeper dancefloors.

The DJ and producer duo which consists of the two friends Robert and Patrick teamed up in 2018 for the project Add-us. Since then they´ve released their music on labels like Parquet Recordings, Renaissance or 3000 Grad, just to name a few.

Over a year since the drop of their second long-player on the label, "Lost Spirits", German outfit Hidden Empire reemerges on Stil vor Talent with "Who We Are", the first single taken from their third album, "Momentum", to be released in early 2023. Riddled with stadium-sized emotional bursts and their genotypic peak-time readiness, Novakovic and Schäfers' latest keeps on pushing in that zenithal direction their previous efforts continuously hinted at, fusing textbook cinematic poignancy with that of the most fiery DJ-friendly tools through ambitious sound tableaux that promise to provide the raver in you with compelling amounts of poetic spaciousness and tight-wound dancy dynamics. 

The first track and lead-single featuring Felix Raphael on vocals, "Who We Are", is a pop-influenced chugger that perhaps best defines Hidden Empire's ambivalent style, both hi-NRG and innervated with a melancholy that infuses down to the bass and most functional elements. Geared up for big-room traction with its seesawing synths and clinical drumwork, Raphael's moving timbre does more than offer a sensible counterpoint to the track's overall sturdy backbone, it takes it to a whole other dimension completely. Then there's "Momentum", a more openly jagged and quirky weapon that hatches into a further solar number around the half, like a flower slowly but surely finding its way to the sunlight. Roaring up the club's highway at full throttle, it proves a formidable asset when it comes to plunging dancers into a state of weird, left-of-centre euphoria.

Second chapter on the way towards the anticipated release of their third studio album on Stil vor Talent, "Momentum", here comes Hidden Empire's second single, "Last Call". Tapping in the duo's trademark seam of EBM-laced techno bound for hi-impact dancefloor hustle and further far-reaching, cross-dimensional escapology, this second instalment delivers a serious amount of craggy electro reliefs to surf and synth-splattered jack to sync your brainwaves to.

Whereas the lead number "Last Call" has us journeying to straight out Moroder-esque territories, flush with the aptly configured palette of fuzzy space disco bass, fast-paced Italo churn and vocodized talk for good measure, the second track "Avalanche" opts for a more brooding, deadlier approach. Cutting its path away from prying eyes, this one finds Hidden Empire pulling the stealth weaponry to absolute hypnotic effect - perfect for serious in-between peak time business with its thick, thriller-like tension, mist-shrouded atmosphere and surgical focus. It’s been a rather prolific start to the year for Turkish producer Elif. Following the critically acclaimed release of her remix of Husa &amp; Zeyada’s A Little Fun on IAMHER at the beginning of February, the Barcelona-based talent now unveils her first full-length package of 2023, with the announcement of her mesmerising new three-track EP, Letting Go, on Stil Vor Talent.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, February 24, Letting Go marks Elif’s eagerly anticipated return to the long-standing German imprint, following her contributions to the Stil Vor Talent 300 VA back in 2021 with Juno and the label’s 15 Years VA compilation with Entanglement back in 2020. Kickstarting the EP with the arresting opener Let Go, Elif joins forces with German duo Stil &amp; Bense for an emphatic debut collaboration, as the three producers christen the EP with a sinister, underground juggernaut. Layers of industrial synths and intricate beats combine with rolling basslines and intermittent vocal drops and within seconds you’re locked in, riding the wavelengths until you reach the mind-bending breakdown. Next up, Elif lowers the intensity for a more playful second single, Sombre.
Created alongside long-time friend and recent production partner ,Gespona, the pair toy with melody, texture and tonality across the frisky seven-minute cut, cultivating a unique sonic palate that explores an array of minimal,
underground timbres. Last but by no means least is the resounding finale On My Own, as Elif takes the reigns for the aptly-titled closer. A dynamic solo offering delivered by an artist whose creativity in the studio seems to know no bounds, rolling grooves, shuffling rhythms and warped synthesizers shine front and centre, as Elif pulls out all the stops to conclude another extraordinary release on Stil Vor Talent.
