On August 22nd, 2014, Motor Entertainment will release a couple of remixes of Parasite Single‘s track “The Hunt”. Northern German music producers the Micronaut and Mollono.Bass (whose remix will be premiered by trndmusik) contribute one remix each. “We are always up for club music and wanted to make danceable music”, say the band members about the remixes. (...) They got in contact with Mollono.Bass and the Micronaut as part of the 3000 Grad family.

Am 22. August 2014 erscheint ein Remixpaket zur Nummer “The Hunt”, die von der Band Parasite Single produziert wurde. Dabei steuern die norddeutschen Produzenten the Micronaut und Mollono.Bass - dessen Remix bei trndmusik Premiere feiert – jeweils eine eigene Version zum Werk von Christian Seim und Jasmins Quach bei. “Wir hatten immer Lust auf Clubmusik und Interesse, tanzbare Musik zu machen”, so die Band über die Idee für die Remixe. If you have ever heard Nils Frahm’s “Says,” (and if you haven’t, I recommend immediately listening), you probably share the same sentiment as me, in that successfully executing a remix of such an incredible and intricate work of musical genius without destroying it would be an extremely difficult, if not impossible, feat to accomplish. Some unknown remixer (update: it’s The Three Hands Collective) has managed to pull it off, more than doing justice to the original by maintaining the highlight on Nils Frahm’s gorgeous, complex and tension-building melodies, but drawing it into the realm of danceability with the addition of subtle embellishing sounds that do not overwhelm or detract from the beauty of the original, and selective periods of percussion, including dropping the beat back in at the precisely the goosebump-inducing zenith of the melody. It’s a very slow-building and anticipatory auditory journey requiring extreme patience, but the payoff is huge and well-worth it, justified by the wave of chills sent down my spine by the absolute melancholic bliss. You can hear it in Italian duo Mind Against‘s recent phenomenal dark and rather minimal set recorded at Goethebunker in Essen, Germany on Soundcloud at the 1:10:00 mark.

Fresh from remixing Foreign Guest’s recent single ‘Rek’ for Berlin’s Crossfrontier Audio, London-based producer Rashid Ajami is proud to present his inaugural EP for Noir Music ahead of its release on September 25th. ‘Night Prayer’ ft. JAW - complete with two remixes from Parisian trio dOP - taps into the distinctive, deeply-resonant sound that first saw Ajami catch the attention of influential tastemakers Anjunadeep back in early 2013. 

Centred around a deep, peak-time groove, ‘Night Prayer’ first and foremost exhibits Ajami’s flair for writing song-based music. Gentle, percussive layers and short bursts of melody provide the perfect foil for JAW’s hazy, dream-like vocal flow to take centre stage to lucidly mesmeric effect. Beautifully balanced and squarely aimed at the dance floor, it’s abstract, prayer-like composition also means it has legs away from the club too, reinforcing Ajami’s ability to produce records that connect in both different ways and crucially, spaces.

Backed up by a pair of remixes from revered beatmakers dOP - one a deeper, tech-leaning vocal rework and the other a stomping, melody-laced instrumental dub - ‘Night Prayer’ represents some of Rashid Ajami’s best work yet, adding to a growing discography that already includes releases on Anjunadeep, Cajual, Kittball and Armada.

           With ’Witness Happiness’ the musician explores the melancholic territories creating a deep and evocative vibe. When we received Pavel & Alexandra’s track „Waterfall“, we knew quite quickly, this would become the first family work  of a release. As the debut of a singer on Nie Wieder Schlafen, a good chunk of the family was very excited to take on the Original and turn it into a personal adventure. With more remixes following up next year, we are utterly happy to introduce you to an all new part of the crew, who’ve been with us for quite a while now.
Stunning and diverse Remixes for Part I come from LADS (the collaboration between our longtime favourite Luc Angenehm and Gary Pilz), London based MockBeat and Sheffields biggest new talent, Yarni.
 
Pavel & Alexandra’s vision for the Original was to lay focus on the vocals with minimalistic percussion, arranged in such an effective way, that the production has huge spaces for the atmosphere to pan out and let the vocals shine in their most purest form. The accompanying piano pattern will instantly burn itself into your mind and has no plan to leave anytime soon.
 
MockBeat proves a lot with his remix here, showing what other styles he can pull off, while staying true to his specific synth use. His version results in a rather intimate, calm & dreamy intro building up more tension as the track moves a long to the final peak, where more of his style-characteristics make themselves noticeable. Filled with details and lovely fiedrecordings of Heartbeats and more – MockBeat gives the originnal a wonderful upgrade, while mainntaining the focus on the vocals, setting the bar high for the rest of the family.
 
The  groove experimentalists and new project LADS have decided against the obvious and made the vocals work to their interpretation, instead of strictly building it the other way around. Their remix keeps the focus on the rhythm, while adding pace-changing elements to the Originals key elements, truly givinng the whole atmosphere a striking new spin. As expected, a lot of work went into detailed sound engineering, like re-pitching, distorting and though out groove arrangements, with lovely organic elements. As the track moves along, un-settling melodies creep along to further build an atmosphere that keeps the listeners invested and on his toes at all times.
 
Sheffield’s new talent Yarni surprised us with a personal remix of „Waterfall“ – With influences from his recently released edit of Orbital’s „Belfast“ – another UK flavoured atmosphere touches down and combines quite beautifully with Alexandra’s Vocals. While the pianos were left behind, stunning basslines lead the track and open up wide for a perfect climax, that feels unforgiving, while still giving all other elements a chance to shine.
